If you enjoy being disappointed each time you walk into the door of a restaurant then this is the place for you! 25 minutes went by after being seated, and no one came to take our order. We tried this place for a third time, as years ago it actually used to be amazing, not sure what happened. They have a menu, but don’t serve the correct items or prices on their “updated” menus, then lie about it. We won’t be back.

Alan's of Boscawen was excellent! The staff and our waitress KIM was friendly, very attentive, and had a great sense of humor. They aim to please in every manner! She specifically went out of her way to please us (compared to all the other restaurants I've been to)! The food was so delicious!! We started with the peanut butter pie. Sinfully tasteful, peanut butter and chocolate, with a touch of sweetness, but not too much. Brussel sprouts were different and delicious! Cheesey n tangy. Cooked to perfection. And OMG the squashburger was a stop in your tracks, back up and rewind....heavenly burger! ?And of course home made onion rings and sweet potato fries with the burger.

I've been working on the buildings behind Alan's and heard that they have a breakfast buffet. My coworker and I were reading the reviews and many of them didn't have good things to say. Well I came in today with my 7 year old daughter and had the breakfast buffet and it was delicious. There was plenty of fresh fruit , different pastries to choose from. The hot side includes scrambled eggs ,home fries eggs benedict ,sausage ,bacon ,silver dollar pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuit , and quiche. The price of $11 for adults and $6 for kids is very reasonable. I highly recommend coming here for the buffet on Sundays. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

Great location for a family after a funeral meal. We had our own space to connect, and when we ended up being more people than planned, they just added to our food, and everything was seamless.

I've been going here since I was about 7 years old and we went out to dinner there a couple nights ago my husband sister my son and my self and were treated very poorly by our waitress who ended up switching with another waitress thankfully she was much more attentive and seemed to actually like what she was doing.But back to the first woman we do not have a clue what we did to you maybe you where having a bad night but we didn't deserve to be treated like a couple of kids that where ganna run off without paying.From you rushing us threw are order to you putting you're finger in our cup I'm truly not pleased. There in a room food of older people who you took care of normally and where polite and pleasant I'm sorry if you took offense to me asking for another drinking glass after you put you're finger inside of my husband's cup. And then when we told you are high chair was broken you said okay giggled and kept walking how about getting another high chair and having some empathy for a baby in an unsafe seat provided by you . Honestly wish I would have gotten you're name but you where so rude you didn't even introduce yourself to us. Honestly do better.

Buffet on Sunday was unbelievable price of about $11! Food was hot and varied. This place is a gem worth making my favorite haunt. Buffet starts at 8 am and we were the first to show up at 8:05 this morning. The staff was engage and upbeat. The food was excellent, the choices were not overly abundant but there is something for everyone. It's worth checking out, you won't be disappointed!
I came here the week of Christmas 2023. We ordered calamari, Delmonico steak, several drinks, everything salmon, side of scallops, and cordon on bleu. That was a good experience…. Unfortunately, the consistency of the restaurant can vary pretty dramatically..We come here again two weeks later and order 2 orders of fish and chips, sodas, the salmon again, and side scallops again. After bringing bacon wrapped scallops instead of side scallops they said their mistake and that they would fix the issue. 40 minutes later they get the manager/hostess after the waitress forgot twice and the manager/hostess proceeded to argue with me because “they do not do side scallops” and when asked why they did before but not now she said “it’s just up to the kitchen staff”.. when I asked why I couldn’t just get an order of bacon wrapped scallops without the bacon she said that that wouldn’t be something that they would be able to do. The restaurant seems very unreliable and the staff was very rude. Very disappointing experience for a resident of Boscawen. We will be making the drive to Concord next time.
