Bristol Locals, What’s Happening with Our Takeout Scene?
As a Bristol native, I’ve seen our takeout options shrink with Pats Pizza and the Chinese spot closing. Now, B-hop is basically the only place left, and honestly, it feels like they’ve gotten complacent because of it.
I rely on them when I don’t want to cook, but ordering has become a frustrating experience:
- I've seen the deliveries stop as early as 7:30 PM on Fridays — way too soon for weekend cravings.
- Prices fluctuate by nearly a dollar on the same exact order every time. How does that even happen? They’re also significantly pricier than the identical order would be just one town over.
- Orders are often wrong — wrong chicken, missing lettuce, or once, no toppings at all.
- Delivery can take up to 90 minutes, with no change brought and no ketchup included.
It’s disappointing to see quality slip while we have no real alternatives right now. If you’re in the same boat, let’s share our stories and ideas to encourage better service — Bristol deserves better than this.

Arrived with tour group of 35 on Sunday noon. Supposedly they knew we were coming, but only had one waitress working. Some of our group waited over an hour to order food. If you want to eat in Bristol avoid this place whatever you do.

We discovered this place recently and I absolutely recommend the cheese pizza with meat balls. You can take your pizza to the lake or hotel. Food is prepared quickly and you can order online

Bhop has always been my go to for pizza. Today I was highly disappointed. We ordered a large pizza , you could only see sauce near the crust, the bacon was burnt, the crust was burnt in places and the bottom was way too brown. Took home 4 piece's and in the trash it went. The waitress was awesome though.

Food is good, but portions to price are outrageous on some items. Prime example is the Boom Chicken Bites. 10 dollars for a couple tiny pieces of chicken that could feed a baby or child for a snack. Easily could recreate sauce and buy a whole bag of tenders for slightly higher price and have vastly more chicken.
Amazing food and the portions are very big and good for the price! Everything tasted fresh and well-made and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

This place is exactly what you should expect when going to a town’s local “house of pizza”, and I don’t mean that in a bad way at all. It’s your standard pizza place that does pizza and does it pretty well. I got some wings as an appetizer and they were pretty bland but not had. The spinach, chicken and feta calzone was a bit spinach heavy and the spinach was a bit meh. The pizza that I got was the sausage and ricotta special and I will say that it was good! Ordered all of this for takeout and it did not take too long to get my order. The place was doing karaoke inside which is always fun and I appreciate the vibes.
