Even though there was only one other table in our area when we arrived, the servers took a long time to get to all of the tables. Drinks took over 10 minutes. We had been seated for over an hour by the time the food came. Overall the food was decent. Very good crème brule.

Excellent food and service with a great view of the sunset over Newfound lake! They have 3 different seating areas, but the same menu available in them all. If you're on the front porch expect to be sitting in the sun as it goes down.

Great remodel, great service, great food. The lobster cocktail was outstanding. Jaime, our waiter or has been doing this for 30 years and doesn’t miss a beat.

Never a bad meal or service. The prime rib was to perfection. Jack as always was very attentive. My only negative is that the restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. That’s a crazy schedule in the summer.

Sat out on the deck. Food was good, but our first choice on the menu and dessert menu was not available. We were seated at 6. At least inform your diners as to what is on the menu but they can't actually order BEFORE they spend 20 minutes making a choice they can't have. Plus we got to spend 15 minutes staring at our empty table after being presented with the bill. Eventually had to go track down the hostess to pay and leave. Annoying.

Just had a lovely dinner with my wife and baby here tonight. We sat outside on the porch. The evening lakeside view was beautiful, and our table was tucked away to the side, where it was quieter and more peaceful. This was perfect for our 2-month-old, and he managed to sleep through all of dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout, and the food arrived very quickly. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, steak tips and shrimp scampi and really enjoyed everything. Portions were also generous. We had a great experience!

I'm still baffled as to how I was served a veal cutlet completely devoid of parmesan cheese. I mean,"Veal Cutlet Parmesan" can only mean one thing, right? Instead I got what would more accurately be described as a small to medium piece of Schnitzel served over pasta with a light coating of marinara sauce. Lesson learned: Don't order Italian food at an American restaurant, or, buy the cook a dictionary and put a sticky on the page with Veal Parmesan". This aside, the meal was otherwise very enjoyable. Chili appetizer was spectacular featuring piping hot multi-color tortilla chips. Seafood casserole also was quite good. Wine was slightly aerated. The tavern area is really cozy, but I recommend the porch (weather permitting) as there are nice views of the lake. I knocked off a star here because of my disappointing and befuddling veal parmesan, but if you stick to the American dishes you can probably count on a four out of five star meal.

Dinner experience was less than expected. Arrived at 6:15 and waited 20 minutes for waiter to acknowledge us and order drinks. Based on this we went ahead and ordered our salad and entree immediately. Salad was great but chicken Parmesan was very skimpy with one small piece of chicken Shrimp scampi was flavorless and linguini was dry Waiter never asked if we needed Parmesan or anything except to ask if we wanted dessert or tequila shots. Would not recommend this restaurant

Although we live in Hebron right next door, we have not been here for dinner for at least 6 years. Prior experiences did not warrant a return. With the new owner and the very nice remodel done, we decided to give it another chance. Went there for Winedown Wednesday and had an excellent bottle of Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc. The wedge iceberg lettuce and mini chicken quesadillas were excellent even though we asked for the quesadillas to come out with our salad. Although we were very relaxed and in no hurry, after arriving at 7:15 and ordering promptly, our main courses had not shown up by 8:45. That is when my wife walked out and I went to the kitchen and asked for the check. Unbelievable that eggplant parmesan and baked scallops couldn't have arrived much sooner. The waitress was surprised we were leaving, but she did admit that she forgot to put in our order after the appetizer. The kitchen staff should have noticed something was wrong. This is our last time for this place. Totally inexcusable.

we found this hidden treasure by accident in a goggle search. We walked a mile for dinner it was a beautiful 4th of July evening. We were the only ones there with the exception of a wedding party in the back barn. Kat our server was beyond terrific and the food top notch. She helped us with breakfast ideas and things to do. Then we saw an amazing firework show from the dining room. Put on by the wedding. Fireworks the whole walk home over the lake. Highly recommend. Professional staff, great atmosphere. Undergoing some renovations now but not disruptive. Wild hare tavern cute and cozy.
