The food and service are awesome. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired. Love to see it with different / softer lighting. That would change the experience. But I can't complain about anything else. It's fine dining in a casual setting.

The wings, confited in duck fat, are the best in town! I've only had a smashburger as an entree, but it was terrific!

No wait on Thursday at 6:30! Welcomed with a smile and a very attentive server. I ordered the corn and bacon chowder, so thick and delicious! I also had a salad that was lovely, Greek style. My Dad who orders burgers all around the city finally got a burger cooked right! And a heaping pile of fresh cut fries, so good! We were so pleased we had to order the dessert special, a browned butter cake with whip and strawberries! Such a treat!!! So happy, can’t wait to go again!

If you're ever in the Penacook area, you need to visit Alexandra's Bistro. This is by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. Everyone from the owner to the wait staff are exceptionally kind and courteous, every meal, every appetizer, every drink and every moment there has been wonderful. At this point, I go at least a few times a month, and as long as their doors are open, I'll always be walking in.

Their bacon onion jam is the bomb and you can put it on anything. Everything we ordered was 10/10 and we can't wait to go back. Please keep the apple crisp on the menu!Staff was super friendly and just happy to be there. It's definitely a place you would drive by and not notice, but inside is very clean and cozy. Overall we highly recommend.

My husband and I checked out Alexandra’s for the first time tonight, after learning of its existence only a month or so ago. We live about ten minutes away and frequent the plaza it’s in, so it’s kinda crazy that it escaped our attention until now, but hey! Glad we remedied such a tragic oversight.Let me preface this by saying that we’re not fancy or snobby, but we do like to cook and eat (and watch Top Chef ?), so we’re probably a bit harder to impress then your average chain restaurant patron. (Don’t even get me started on our one and only visit to Uno’s not long ago! ?) Anyway, much to our dismay, since moving to Concord (after living on the coast and having access to all sorts of great food in and around Portsmouth) in the spring of 2021, we had still not found a Concord restaurant that we really loved - and we have tried them ALL. We eventually settled (for lack of a better word) on one spot I describe as “reliably tasty” for when we just don’t feel like cooking, but I wouldn’t say we were ever downright excited to go there; it just fills the need when it arises.Enter Alexandra’s Bistro. Ladies and gentleman, game has changed. We went on a whim tonight, somehow securing ourselves a spot when almost every table had a “reserved” sign. The hostess, Emma, who was also our server and seemed to be tending bar (this girl had so many balls in the air and dropped exactly zero of them), was awesome. Friendly, personable, funny . . . couldn’t ask for better. Our food came out fast and was beautifully plated and delicious, seasoned and cooked perfectly. As an aside, I have to be honest and say that when the entrees first came out, I felt a tiny bit disappointed that the portions weren’t bigger for the cost. However, it was actually the perfect amount. This was the first time I’ve ever had a drink, a couple of apps, an entree, and dessert and not felt like I was going to throw up afterwards. Should I admit that? Maybe not, but just saying! I would way rather have a reasonable portion of really amazing food that than a huge pile of meh food that makes me feel bloated and gross afterwards. Sometimes I forget that it’s the great American way for one person to be served enough food for a small family on a literal platter. THAT is messed up, not this. Quality over quantity. That is not to say the portion was small, it was just . . . enough. I didn’t need more. This is how it should be.What we shared tonight:Roasted Corn & Bacon ChowderCrispy Pork Belly & BrusselsTeres Major Steak Tips & FritesRitz Baked Hadockand three . . . yes, three! We couldn’t decide. Don’t judge us! . . . desserts:Chocolate SalvationVanilla Bean Crème BrûléeSlow Roasted Apple CobblerI could literally write a review on every single food item, but I’d be up all night. Suffice it to say (again), everything was perfect. Not too greasy or salty or over/under-cooked. Desserts weren’t cloyingly sweet. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully, carefully plated. And I feel good after eating there. Making 95% of our food at home, restaurant meals often don’t sit well, but that was not the case here at all. This place really got everything right. The one and only thing I would change is the lighting, which is overhead fluorescent and gives it sort of an industrial/office feel. The ambiance really doesn’t align with the quality and presentation of the food. I told my husband it would be great if they get an opportunity to move into a more fitting space, but then realized that might mean they get so busy that we can never get in again, and that would not be cool at all. Nothing is perfect, but dang. This place comes close.

Food was amazing from the soup of the moment through decaf coffee and tea. Everything is fantastic in a non-stuffy atmosphere. Our server was sweet and attentive. Something really for everyone here. Highly recommend.

Menu should read ‘Ribeye garnished with broccoli and doused with sauce”. I think I would have been less disappointed if that is how it read, and I would have asked for sauce on the side. Broccoli and potatoes are like the cheapest thing on the menu, if it’s a side, it should be a side. It was also a bit overdone (I ordered medium rare, you can judge for yourself from the picture, cut right when it got to table).Crème brûlée was very watery, wonder if they heated it under an oven burner that with a blow torch. Basic food preparation tips would make this place much betterFor the price, the food gets only 3 stars.. service was amazing and ambiance was good.1 ribeye, 3 drinks and a desert $100. You can decide if that’s worth it or not. To me it’s a no.

This place is like a diamond in the rough. I was skeptical because of the location, but then heard great things about it, so we had to try it out. The food is delicious, and the presentation was amazing. Try it out, you will not be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner at one of their weekly pasta nights. The pasta and atmosphere was amazing and everyone that works there is very kind and caring. I can’t wait to dine there again!
