Checkmate Pizza Concord, NH

I love this place! Hands down my favorite pizza joint, outside of New York. They always take good care of me and without fail I leave Checkmate in a better mood than when I walked in. Sometimes it's as simple as them just being polite, other times they'll go as far as throwing in an extra slice or drink! (I am a LONG-TIME patron! Please don't go in there asking or expecting free stuff! The point I'm trying to make is that they're good people.) If you haven't been here yet, then what are you waiting for?! Get you some! And if you e been here and somehow had a bad experience, first go get medically cleared by a doctor cause there's something wrong with you. But them, give me another shit, I would be very surprised if you weren't happy you did. Enjoy and you're welcome!

I stopped in for a couple of quick slices on the way home and was treated so nicely by the owner and her employee. They were fast, very friendly and the pizza was delicious. I love their sauce. Also, they have a massive menu, which I look forward to enjoying in the future!

I always get delivery and it is always delivered quickly. I just got the chef salad. The salad was amazing. It didn't just have iceburg. It also had romaine and spring mix. It was huge and the pita bread was fresh and great. I have a hard time finding great salads. Try theirs!!! You won't be disappointed. Also, the King's Favorite sub is amazing. Great job Checkmate!!

While the food is typically good, it is never consistent. Don't expect the calzone you get this week will look, taste or be the same size next week.

Freshest pizza and subs in town! I generally do pick up and follow the tracking app! Can’t go wrong! Staff is always friendly! The chicken and Garlic pizza … superb!👨‍🍳🍕🤌

This place is a complete joke and the current manager needs to be fired. He's rude, arrogant and driving business away. My steak and cheese sandwich should not be cut with ham especially if I did not order ham. The cheese was absolutely disgusting and when I tried to complain the manager was just rude and tried to make me think I was delusional for asking for a refund.

Ordered an italian sub online. Got a salami and cheese sandwich. Called the store to explain and the managers tone was incredibly arrogent as he explained to me their subs are "made to order" so no matter what sandwich you specify on the web app you have to specify all the ingredients. That is completely ridiculous and the manager was trying to make me think im crazy for expecting a default italian to be anything more than a plain salami and cheese

Like, if I order a hawaiian pizza would I have to manually check that I want ham and pineapple or have it default to a cheese pizza?

I got the chicken parm sub, which consists of frozen chicken tenders with very little sauce. Food was genuinely bad and I didn't finish it.

Service was great though and the workers and atmosphere are on point. Maybe their pizza is better?

I ordered 2 pizzas for delivery and they arrived very quickly! When we opened the box, the cheese pizza was clearly reheated or old and had sat for a long time- looked and tasted like it. We also got several other things and spent $80 total. So we called back for a replacement and they said they would send us another. It took even longer for the replacement to arrive than the original order and we're right in downtown Concord, I could have walked there and back in less time. It ruined our whole dinner, half of us ate at separate times and it took 90 minutes to feed our 5yo. The second pizza was great, which tells me they knew they sent us a terrible one and were hoping we wouldn't notice or care enough to wait another 40 minutes to replace it. There's plenty of other places to get pizza in this town so I don't see myself ordering here again.
