Food wasn't amazing, you really need a sauce to make it taste good, but to each their own. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the fact that this place tried to write in their own tip. Normally I am a good tipper at restaurants, I just don't typically tip for To Go orders since all they really do is hand you the food. Well I will definitely be paying more attention in the future and making sure I write in my desired tip because his place felt the need to give themselves a 30% tip; mind you, this was on top of an already $32 dollar order which is extremely sketchy. Maybe they were a little upset about the lack of tipping, but that's no reason to do something like that. Heck, I probably wouldn't have even noticed if the tip was in the 15-18% range, but 30%? We went back to have it fixed which they did (mostly). However they still charged us $1 dollar more than what the original order was... Anyway, just wanted to put this out there for others.

We havent been to the Dragon Star for a while but we wont be going back. Ragoons were bland and had an after taste (rancid oil?); happy family had somerthing that tasted moldy in both my and hubby's servings. I dont know if we'll even try the other itemsor just throw them away.

What used to be (IMHO) the best Chinese food in Concord has now joined the ranks of mediocre. The last 2 trips (not including our Christmas fest for 8) have resulted in lemon chicken with no lemon flavor and chicken that is very rubbery. The grease tasted old. The pork fried rice had rubbery pork pieces. The crab ragoons tasted like air fryer Sams Club. Only the Szechuan chicken was really good... Great spice. Referring back to our Christmas fest well it was a mix of meh to ok. To bad as we used to really enjoy this place.

This is the first time ordering food from this place, we were vary happy with it. we had PU Pu platter for three ,and pork fried rice and chicken lo Mein , There is three of us and enough food for two more dinners after this one, We have tried other places in Concord and nothing was that good. This place reminds us of the old Hawaiian Isle, that was on Hall st. We will be going back again.

I like this play for the value. I like the food, but it is not a sit down restaurant. It seems to be meant for take out. If you are looking to grab a lunch that will fill you up and give you options, I would say you have found the place.

Best chinese food!

Almost every time I ordered it’s not bad food. Always decently cheap and really good. People are nice and hardworking. Lomein and fried rice are my favorite

I used to love this place, but food is terrible now. Today was the worst so far. Half was overcooked, half undercooked. Some had clearly been left out for a while. Very tough and practically inedible. I'm so sad!

These guys have been around for over 30 years in Concord. They have by far the best Chinese food anywhere in town. I always get the D2. They have a couple of tables you can sit at inside but generally get to take out only. They're shrimp and lobster sauce is amazing they're boneless spare ribs are great but they also have bone in spare ribs too! The teriyaki beef is amazing in their pork fried rice is to die for check them out you won't be disappointed!

STAY AWAY!!
I’m new to Concord this place is recommended to me. it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any restaurant.
I ordered $35 worth of food. One of the items I ordered was a quart of wonton soup. I got egg drop when I called back to find out why. The Manager told me that’s what you ordered. You ordered 19 that’s what you got! Which was my mistake. I ordered the wrong number. But the way the manager of this place handled the situation I can’t even put into words how mad I am. He was rude. Talked over me hung up on me then when I called back, he said I can’t bring wonton soup back out to you, sir. I can’t pay a driver to come out. I said I’m offering to come pick up wonton soup and swap it out. And again he hung up on me. I’ve been a restaurant manager for 25 years. You do everything you can to make the customer happy if a customer told me I’ll come and pick up something different. I would just make it for him to keep the customer happy. I wouldn’t yell at them. I wouldn’t hang up on them if they offered to come pick it up. I would tell the customer no problem bring the soup back and I’ll give you wonton. I will find a different place to order my Chinese food from. I guess this place is so busy. I guess they don’t need new customers. I get Chinese food probably twice a monthly 60-100 dollar a month. And to be honest, it’s subpar food anyway at least what I’ve tried so far.
Like I said before stay away from this place!

Food is overcooked. Called to speak with them after a 200 dollar order and they said “sometime crunchy because we leave food in heaters to stay warm” which tells me it’s pre cooked and left in heaters all day. Which explains why all the food was hard, worse than mall Chinese food. They were rude and disrespectful on phone. They said “I hope you not return” the place was filthy too. Won’t be going back.
