i’m not one to write a review but i’m shocked this place is still in business. my boyfriend and i went here for dinner, stepped in the restaurant, and waited for about 10 minutes, no line, -and we should’ve walked out after talking with the host, who was extremely disrespectful and pissed off that we even stepped in there- finally got seated, looked over the menu, and waited and waited for a server to come serve us-there was 2 other people in the restaurant at the time we went, they were fully staffed, a server came over to the 2 other people eating as i turned around she didn’t even acknowledge we were there, i even resulted in putting up the menu on the table. after another 20 minutes we ended up leaving, very displeased with the experience we had if i could give negative stars i would. this place should be shut down. we will never be coming back.

I usually go here when craving sharing a sundae or ice cream with my family. Used to love the free sundae on my birthday....not sure if they still have the birthday club? I spent a lot of time here with friends when I was in high school because it was one of the only places open late. We'd drink the endless coffee, and play chess or talk about life. I'm glad they reopened.

We were seated quickly, the restaurant wasn't full, menu choices were plentiful, but when I ordered fish and chips with malt vinegar, I was told that there was no vinegar available. I asked if they had any vinegar and still the same answer. I didn't ask, but I'm fairly certain that they offered oil and vinegar as salad dressing, which would be acceptable. Note that this chain was founded in New England, where malt vinegar is routinely served with the dish. So I ordered grilled cheese and a cup of tomato soup. My wife ordered a burger. The soup came in a tiny bowl and was cloyingly sweet, the taste reminiscent of spaghetti-o's without the Os. The grilled cheese was fair, but didn't appear to be actually grilled. It was more like melted American cheese on toast. The burger was unremarkable, but not bad in any way. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The price wasn't too high considering the recent economy.

We waited 30 mins for our food. Our food was terrible, tuna melts with no tuna, on burnt toast. Chicken in the salad dry as a bone. Fish sandwich consistency of cardboard. Only 2 stressed out waitresses and no front help, a line for hours. Don't come here

Ordered take out for the first time here. We waited for awhile at the take out window because the employee (young male) was on his personal iPhone so we finally had to knock on the window to get his attention for any service. Just two orders of a cup of soup, beef n barley. This was incredibly a small amount of soup to give to anyone. For reference, I poured it into a “one cup” serving, and it didn’t even fill that. Just about a half cup. This is really not right to serve this small amount of soup to any customer, especially at $5.99 a cup. It didn’t even taste good, and this was all we ordered. Both orders were this size, and mine even had more in it. We will never order anything from here again. Definitely not worth these very small amounts.

If I could give zero stars I would. The way our visit went was absolutely astonishing. We were not welcomed or acknowledged when we walked into the place, once we got seated the server said nothing and slammed the menus on the table and walked away. Came back asked for drinks only took drink orders for 3 out of the 5 of us as my step mom was asking my son what he wanted because they wouldn’t make him a pancake even though we got there at 11 I get breakfast stopped but come on one pancake. We were given our drinks and the waitress walked away and didn’t even take the drink orders for the 2 she ignored in the first place my father said she needed to take drink orders for the other 2 and with a nasty sarcastic voice she was like I’m sorry sir I didn’t realize you were ready and we explained how there were 2 people who got ignored and got no drinks, we asked for the check for the drinks we did get and wanted to leave the waitrsss told us we weee set and proceeded to run her mouth to us as she walked to the kitchen. Mind you the couple that got seated after us left before we even did as she didn’t even acknowledge them period. This was on Sunday November 3rd 11. This waitress was heavy set with glasses and was working morning shift. This place has gone so far down hill it’s sad. No one should be treated the way we were. We went to the 99 and got treated with the up most respect and constant apologies for the slow responses due to being busy. I don’t see this place lasting long there’s a reason they are never busy or stay busy you can’t have rude staff. We will never return to this friendly so really hope the owner sees this and fires this waitress between my family and the couple that’s 7 people that up and left due to how the waitress was.

There was 5 adults 2 children in our party, quick to be seated. We ordered simple menu items, I am still waiting on the free ice cream with my senior meal, never offered by the way. My daughters food came over 20 minutes after the rest of the party was finished, the waitress said "I don't know why the kitchen didn't make it. " asked to get it to go, she was flustered. Asked to see the manager she said, he's busy in the back, I said ok I will wait, asked a second time 15 minutes later, she said he is making ice cream. Finally I got up and went to the counter asking for the manager. Absolute horrible service, the food we got was good. Just not what I expected from a restaurant I once lived. Absolutely horrible. Never again
The last 2 times we have taken our kids to Friendly’s in Concord there was the same waitress working who was beyond miserable, I’m not sure how anyone hasn’t said anything yet. The first time we were brave enough to just grab ice cream knowing it would’ve been a disaster to try and sit and get food. We witnessed her not only aggressively toss, but THROW menus at an older couple sitting and stating they sat themselves after lack of service. But tonight after just an awful attitude and lack of acknowledgment we up and left. The manager was there tonight as well-I’m not sure if her attitude or the waitresses attitude was worse. The look on all the customer’s faces tonight said it all. We will never return.

Always have fond memories of bringing my children here when they were in elementary school. Now they are in their 20's. Glad to see this restaurant still here as there are fewer Friendly's around
Parking: If it's not busy there's plenty of parking. Less so the busier it is like any place
Kid-friendliness: The kids meals come with a free kid size sundae which my kids always looked forward to. Plus they usually give the kids stuff to color and/or draw. It's a great place to start to bring your kids to to get them accustomed to restaurant behavior/ etiquette
