If you're looking for the hole in the wall gem, you've found it. Located in the historic Gibsons Book Store, Gibsons Cafe deserves every star available; from the food, to the service, to the overall atmosphere. I have tried SO many options from their menu and have been more than satisfied with every choice, drinks AND food. The staff is super kind, and are full of wonderful recommendations. 10/10 over and over again.

Quality of Gibsons is amazing! Staff..not so much. First time i go in, one girl in braids has some unjustified attitude towards me, went over to the other girls on shift and complained about it, im sorry if you had a bad day man but like dont take it out on others at your job. Second time the cook go overs to the register to verify what i had ordered, granted yea its three sauces on one sandwich i get thats gross but thats just how i eat š and they both just laugh about it to each other. Like i said quality is good but the employees must be unaware of how much people can see and hear on the other side of the counter lol

This is a terrific independent bookstore! Loads of books of all kinds -- something for everyone -- as well as a comprehensive kid's department including educational toys. Great atmosphere in the Cafe or bookstore, to relax and read (or meet up & talk quietly, of course!).
What better than thousands of books to browse while you wait for your delicious food? Coffee, breakfast sandwiches, wraps- everything is so delicious and has a cozy atmosphere to enjoy them in!

food was mid, small portions, overpriced ,cold 55 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich at a cafe is insulting at best. ordered online order would be ready in 30 minutes, 30 minutes later i get in line to ask for my pickup. i was toldāitās gonna be a minute, their overwhelmed in the backā Yikes!!! at least someones got a-lot on their plate. anyway trash, unorganized, unhygienic, waste of money not gonna go here again.

Visiting a friend, I came in here for a small morning break. I ordered a coffee and remembered the last time I was here their avocado toast looked great. So I asked the server for an order with my coffee. They were out of avocado. Out of avocado on a Friday morning when itās a prime aspect of the menu? Hmm, disappointingā¦ The final critique would be the barista needing to constantly pound out the espresso to add to the background ambiance.

The iced latte with a lavender shot and oat milk was very good. I would have liked to see some vegan options (cookies, muffins, etc.) to go with.
It can get noisy if people are loud and chatty but otherwise it is a pleasant refreshment or light lunch stop.
