Went there with my significant other and her father. Walked in and I loved the ambience. Had some good music playing and it felt pretty inviting in there.
We got the chicken shawarma, goat with jollof rice, and chicken curry. The chicken curry might be one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life. It was such a good, fresh dish that didn’t carry too much spice but still kicked you a bit.
Staff was also super nice. The gentleman was attentive enough to where we had good conversation and he checked in when needed.
Bring your friends, bring your family, bring someone because this is an awesome place that deserves local support.
We so very much wanted to experience this eatery. Unfortunately, as we entered there was a strong and off-putting smell. The place is tiny and quaint but there's a big TV screen and giant DJ/nightclub looking speaker that blasts you in the face as you enter. There was a football (soccer) game on and that would be okay, but the VOLUME was loud enough to have to cover your ears. The gentleman who eventually came to the counter told us to sit and returned to the back/kitchen. He should have immediately turned down the volume. We had to raise our voices at each other. No one else was there. We sat down, hoping he would realize he needed to turn it down. The menus are small laminated so they should be but weren't clean. They were very sticky and had different foods stuck to them. Menus were on every table and not clean. Sadly, we had to leave without trying any food. How were we to know how long it would take for him to come back out. We were very respectful and friendly, saying we were excited to try the restaurant but he just left us in the dining room with a blaring TV. No explanations about the food, nothing. The names of the dishes are not descriptive at all so we had no idea what to order either
When we were outside, the man finally came back out and was waiving a remote control.
We guessed he was going to offer to turn down the volume but we should have been welcomed, presented clean menus, and volume down after we entered rather than after we left. We wish them well and the restaurant business is not easy but they can definitely make a few basic improvements to fill the empty little dining room.

My family and I wanted to try African style food. Being in good ol NH there isn't a plethora of diversity. We as a family enjoy exploring different food from around the world. Everyone was pleased with their food. I really enjoyed the different flavors and spices. If your curious and open minded when it comes to food I recommend giving this a try.

I had yummy jerk chicken and amazing fried plantains at Maddie’s during Concord Days. The sauce is so delicious too! Maddie was completely delightful!

Waited to be served for more than 1 hour. Wasn’t served water until after the meal and the food was terribly cold, even after the long wait. The plaintains too were really soggy and oily, and the meat tasted stale.
Decor was nice though but I wouldn’t be revisiting.
Went with my family to celebrate my graduation and not one of them left satisfied.

Amazing food. Perfect for dine in or takeout. The owner is so friendly. She definitely cooks with love. You won’t be disappointed. I’m so happy to see an authentic African and Caribbean cuisine in New Hampshire.
