Every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection
Everything felt in control.
Very impressed. I ordered the Yankee plater at market price which was around 40 bucks and I can say it was very good It came out hot and crispy .The clams were clean the scallops were big the shrimp a little on the small side... the one piece of fish..haddock was fresh tasting but just a small piece like 2inches by 2 inches no after taste .The waitress was friendly and attentive. Very quick on following up.
Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Food was very good.
I held a large corporate event. The event manager Taylor was very professional and met all of our needs. All of the guests are still talking about the event. Book your next function through Taylor, you won't be disappointed.
Awesome spot to eat and hang out after a day of riding cool back deck
This is definitely supported by repeat local customers. Both staff and customers seem to know one another. The food is always very good. And if you ask for suggestions of the special of the day they are very helpful in Pleasant it's like everybody that works here, really likes to work here
Our group visited Makri’s during the Laconia bike rally, as we've done the past three years. Unfortunately, this time the experience fell short—both the food and service left a lot to be desired.
It started with the drinks. I ordered a half-sweet, half-unsweetened tea, but was given an Arnold Palmer. I pointed out the mistake, and the waitress brought back a plain tea—still not what I asked for. When I clarified once more what I wanted, she brought another unsweetened tea. At that point, I gave up on getting the correct drink.
Another friend ordered a Dos Equis, which the waitress said was unavailable. He switched to a cranberry and vodka, but was instead brought a Corona. He didn’t argue and just went with it, but it added to the growing list of errors.
Then came dinner. I had ordered fried oysters but was brought a plate of scallops and haddock. Another person in our group ordered shrimp and haddock but received only shrimp. Someone else received a side of sweet potato fries they never ordered. We brought the mistakes to the waitress's attention, and to her credit, she allowed us to keep the incorrect items. I did eventually get my fried oysters, but several of them were so gritty that it turned me off, not to mention the batter is bland. In the end, my friend's haddock never arrived.
To be fair, our waitress was friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her, and we still enjoyed each other’s company. But with multiple mix-ups and sub par, I can’t recommend Makri’s based on this visit.
Great time up here for bike week 102nd nice time! Thank you Taylor for providing great service!
Food is a hit of miss, mostly a miss. Service is usually good and atmosphere is probable the best thing is has going for it and location. Your better off going down the road a couple of miles to Beanies Bar + Grill

I moved to Georgia in 2022, and we flew back to NH for a family event. We decided to head back to Makris because we wanted great seafood. We brought a total of 12 family members. 3 had the fishermen's, and 2 from the party ordered two 4-pound lobsters. 1 had the prime rib, another had the Sword Fish Blackened. 2 orders of calamari were rubbery and had no flavor. The Seafood was way undercooked. The prime Rib was tough. The kitchen tried to say the scallops were cooked perfectly. You should know when you see it translucent and slimy instead of white and firm, but we got the statement from the waitress: sorry, we have new kitchen staff. The manager and waitress tried to make it right, but for a total bill of 500.00, This should have been a 5-star service. We found out the brothers had sold the place. We should have realized when walking out of the back room that the place was empty on a Friday night. The parking lot was even empty. We used to wait to get in, which was well worth the wait. We spoke highly of the place to the family who had never been there and would say, for this kind of money, run far away. Frozen seafood would have been 5 stars compared.
I havent been to makris in 3 years. I came home to new hampshire to vist. I couldnt wait to eat seafood from here which they are known for. so we brought 12 of of our family members here to eat and couldnt believe how bad this place was. we used to eat here at least twice a month. it has dropped in qualtity/ service and just overall everything. we spoke with the manager to ask if the two brothers still own it. we found out they do not. the one thing I can tell is it very much shows. food was bad. very bland and also alot of our seafood was under cooked. the first sign that things have gone bad is. it was a friday night and it was dead. bar was empty and parking lot was empty. the biggest mistake was they opened up the wall from the bar to the dining room. no longer a family place enviroment. avoid this place new owner doesnt care about how it has gone down
Horrible horrible service! Got a drink, sat down finished drink no one came over with menus or to greet us at all. Off to another restaurant
Service was good. Food not so much.
