Horrible horrible service! Got a drink, sat down finished drink no one came over with menus or to greet us at all. Off to another restaurant

One of the only places around with this type of atmosphere. Great place for the summer.

The service was really good so it’s not easy to say this but the food really wasn’t good at all. The crab cakes were weird and stringy and we couldn’t find any crab in them…the stuffing that you can add to the dishes is really dry and doesn’t have good flavor. Baked potato seemed old…. And you only get ONE side with an entree? Kinda cheap if you ask me. Maybe their fried stuff is better but I don’t think we’ll be giving them a second chance to find out. Manager and server were great though- it just wasn’t for us.

Hadn't been back to Makris in about 8 years since we last went to a Nascar race at NHMS. It was ok just ok. One complaint was the breading didn't stay on the fried scallops, was more like eating broiled scallops. Chowder was good. But overall it was ok just ok !

Dropped in for dinner, I had the prime rib, my wife ordered twin lobster 1-1/4 lbs. I got sweet potato fries with my meal, and they were stellar. But what set Makris apart was the service. Friendly, helpful, and on the ball 100%.

Underwhelming is the best description that I have for this restaurant. The service (i.e., the waitress) was very good. However, the food was "meh" or less. My husband's steak was the best of what we ordered but he said it was not good enough to make him want to return. The fried clams and oysters were truly tasteless - it was as if someone forget the chef/cook to use a salt shaker or any spices at all. I believe that the clams and oysters were fresh (that is good). But they were hardly worth eating because the breading or whatever one would call it that one dips them into had NO TASTE. This is a seafood restaurant, isn't it?

Our waitress clearly didn't want to be here tonight. Beer on tap was flat. Service was sketchy. It's too bad because we have been here before and the staff was good.

I wish Greg was still with us. The quality has gone down considerably
I got a baked stuffed lobster and it was terrible. The meat in the lobster was stuck to the shells and didn't taste like lobster ..The stuffing was like dry breadcrumbs out of a container. NO moisture at all. It had 1 tinyshrimp in it. Back then you got 1/2 sea scallops, lots of shrimp and even lobster. I know all restaurants are cutting costs but the price remains the same. My dog liked it so that's a plus. Will never do that again. I will make my own

So.... Food was pretty hit or miss. Seafood chowder and scallops were phenomenal; but, the lobster roll was vastly disappointing :( (Lobster was rubbery and tasteless.)
Service was pretty slow and unfriendly.
Sitting outside on a beautiful day was a treat :)

Terrible experience. After being seated wait at least 20 to be acknowledged by anyone. Waitress too our order, and asked if I wanted chowder w/ my meal, I said I did. A few minutes later out came the chowder no meal. After a 40+ minute wait meal arrived. My wife had ordered haddock with seafood stuffing. It came with just bread crumbs. The Waitress tried to tell my wife the stuffing " was on the inside" of the haddock. Haddock was way overcooked. Waitress asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, instead of a refill of ginger ale, I received water. VERY DISAPPOINTED! To be fair they took 1/2 off my wife's dinner. I understand places are short staffed, but communicating it would go a long way.

I had a 3 lb. lobster, and it was excellent. The slaw and fries were great as well. Sis had the fried haddock, and it was really good as well. The food was great, the service was good, a lot of young people working there. The atmosphere gets loud as the place fills up, I might try the patio the next time I go. We took dessert home, and I loved the peanut butter pie. Will definitely be going back for more!

Parking: Lot's of handicapped spits near the door.
