We got very sick from eating here - sick for a few days and the place smells like bad clams- everyone looks angry- and they are rushing you to go.

The worst seafood I've ever had. I called in an order on Wednesday 3/02/2022 at 1:28pm. I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order and it was not ready yet, no big deal it was a large order. When the hostess went to pack up the order she checked it as she should have and all of the food was seriously over cooked and they informed me that they would make new food and it would be about 15 minutes so I said that's fine. I received my order and left without checking it. When I arrived at home I opened the order to find that they didn't make new food they gave me all of the over cooked food. The seafood was so over cooked that it was very dark brown in color and so crisp it just broke into pieces when picked up. The only good that was edible was the clam chowder. I attempted to contact the restaurant regarding this but the refused to get back to me so I'm leaving this review since I paid $163.49 with a $10.00 tip since I paid before getting my order. This is not acceptable.

We were disappointed. The 15 minute wait turned out to be 35. We were seated and given what seemed to be a luncheon menu, not many options. When our order came it was only the plates of food-- no silverware, no tarter sauce, no cold-slaw, by the time our silverware came our meals weren't hot. A bowl of chowder that we asked to have first came last. All in all it just wasn't a pleasant time. We will not go back.

Looking for a new spot in one of our family adventures and stumbled upon this beautiful place!Hannah was our server and was very patient as we looked over the menu which is VERY seafood heavy (the ONLY meat I saw was the steak tips) I didn't mind because both my GF and daughter LOVE seafood so they were happy. We started with cheese fries and fried mushrooms to start and BOOM! the fries were nice and hot along with awesome cheese sauce and bacon bits made them...MUAHS! ? The fried mushroom? Again! In point..hot and juicy full of flavor! For dinner I had the aforementioned steak tips (MR) which I chose teriyaki as my choice of sauce. My GF and daughter created their own fried platters...again they LOVE seafood so being able to mix it up the way they wanted worked out great! The breading on the clam strip and pretty much all the fried items were lightly dusted and cooked to perfection. Of course I have more positive things to write but I'll tell you this..between food and service I tipped the 20%+ and spent 20$ for drinks for the kitchen!!!We'll definitely be back soon!

The food at this restaurant is disgusting. Stopped there this afternoon with one of my adult sons. He ordered the jumbo size lobster roll and fries. The “jumbo” size lobster roll was a hot dog roll with very little lobster and he described it as something that had probably sat in a refrigerator for days. Better fries could have be found in the frozen food section at a super market and that is why he only ate very few of them. The coleslaw that came with his meal was nothing more than cabbage with mayonnaise. I ordered the lobster stew, the large portion of deep fried whole belly clams and a baked potato. The only thing that was any good was the potato. The lobster stew had two finger size pieces of lobster. The broth was nothing more than flavorless warm milk with melted butter. The “whole belly” clams were frozen clam strips and pieces along with chunks of fried breading. Only ate a few of the clams as they were not edible, rubbery and tasteless. The tartar sauce tasted like it was made from mayonnaise with lemon juice added. Tried the coleslaw found it to be just soggy cabbage and mayonnaise and had probably sat in refrigeration for days. The waitress was friendly, professional and attentive. She deserves five stars for her service. I questioned the “whole belly” clams as being strips and she said she would mention it to the manager. Very soon after the manager came over and said that is what is available this time of the year.I paid for our meals and on the way out ran into the manager. Explained how disappointed I was with the food. His explanation was that the clams were frozen and if they purchased fresh ones they would have to charge $70 for them and no one would order them at that price. He also went on saying that many of his customers like the ones they serve.I will never eat at this restaurant again and would recommend that if you are considering going to this establishment take this review as honest and genuine. It’s the only negative review I have ever written on a restaurant and the only reason I did so is because the food was so disgusting.

So my mother in law and daughter were visiting (Hollis) from South Texas and we had planned a day trip to a an old-style candy store north of Lake Winni and then stop for lunch somewhere near Concord where we could have some oysters. Newick's website and their Yelp reviews had some pictures of raw oysters but what my people really wanted was fried oysters which they DON'T do, as it turned out. We still enjoyed the meal. It was good - not necessarily awesome or amazing. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an app, which were fine. I ordered the 'jumbo lobster roll' which was really just a regular sized lobster roll. It was just okay. All in all, the food was good. I ordered a bloody mary and am still not fully convinced there was a single drop of vodka in it. Last thing - high marks for the service though. Our waitress' name was Abby and she was just terrific. So thank you for being so responsive and patient with us Abby. I hope they are paying you wel

Very disappointed .Last time I was there the food was fantastic. This time 2 meals had to sent back as they were not fully cooked. Second time serving the fish was steamed and not broiled as ordered One person was ill on the way home and the other only took two bites of her meal as it still not edible. It will be a long time before we return there and our guests will never go there again for a meal.

My wife loved the lobster roll. I had Caesar Salad, which was OK. But the best thing about Newicks was the atmosphere: A very professional yet perky and friendly waitress named Hannah; tables and booths far apart so the place felt open and accessible, NO BACKGROUND MUSIC, so you can chat without yelling at each other. I'm told that certain days of the week can be crowded; we were there for lunch on Wednesday and tables were available and the service was great.

The staff are great Friendly and super attentive, food is served quickly and hot. Generous portions and much lower prices than I expected. Excellent place for a family meal and they also have large bar seating.

First of all I don't like seafood, but my grandfather does and I take him here sometimes and he seems to like it. I tried the haddock once and I didn't hate it, so that's probably a good sign. It's definitely better than Makris. At least Newicks doesn't stink of rotting fish heads when you walk in the door.

Enjoy Buck a Shuck Wednesday but disappointed they no longer offer Shrimp a la Carte. Steamers were outrageous at $30 for the app.Prices can be too high but Always great service at the bar.
