Lunch goes until four o'clock, at which time, dinner is available. We decided on eating dinner and went to the bar. The blue cheese chips with bacon went well with the common man beer. This would have been enough for dinner also, but we wanted to try other items on the menu. The French onion soup was excellent. The ahi salad was split for two, and we were completely satisfied. Our server, Ava, was friendly and attentive.

Came to the Common man in concord to eat. Informed the server that I cant eat onions, (allergy). When my order showed up it had a pile of onions on it. At best this puts me in the ICU, at worst, it will kill me. If I had not checked my food and trusted that I got what I asked for Id be either on respiratory support or dead. They did say they could make me a new one but by the time I was able to get service the person I was eating with was already over 1/2 way done and I wasn't going to make them wait. I asked to have the order removed which I don't believe they did. Checking the menu there was an appetizer and 1 burger to be charged to the bill with my food meal removed, it was still $56. I checked their menu online and the only way to get to that total is if they did NOT in fat remove my meal. So in the end I spent over 2 hours in the car to be served food I could not eat then charged for it after it was agreed that it would be removed. I have several reservations at the Common Mans lodging at another site over this coming winter. I can not in good conscience do business with this company at this point and will be canceling all the reservations. I do not recommend this company or brand to anyone. There's a huge difference between an accidental dip in quality, a mis heard or mis entered order, and putting someones life at risk.

If you like to wait up to 1 hour and 45 min for lunch or dinner, this is definitely the place for you. They do not take reservations. Find someplace else. Don't waste your time.

My friends and I met at The Common Man in Concord, NH for lunch. The restaurant was very busy with a 40-45 minute wait time but the friendly host referred us to the upstairs lounge if we didn't want to wait. We were able to sit at the bar, which had comfortable, not too high bar stools and a wonderful bartender. She took great care of us and had a lovely, kind personality. Our dishes, the Rooster BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Sweet Corn Ravioli with blackened chicken and the Smokehouse Burger, were perfect and delicious. We would absolutely come here again.

It’s a so good food and very nice place. We ordered for entrance BLACKENED SHRIMP HUMMUS TOAST which is very juicy and tasty, the combination on recipe it’s perfect, for lunch we ordered NEW YORK SIRLOIN* which was amazing and the own beer COMMON MAN BEER IPA, it’s really good and for dessert Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae without whipped cream. The service is excellent and the place is very nice!!

Was nearby and decided to stop by (right by our hotel). Service was great, place was packed (thanks Heather). Very relaxing sitting out on the elevated deck. Great menu with several options. We had apple walnut chicken (speciality), sticky Thai meatballs, and a wedge salad. We had martinis (blood orange and salted Carmel mocha (dessert)), water, and beers as drinks. I have the white chocolate crème Brûlée (so good). I would highly recommend drinking and eating here. If nearby give it a try. Enjoy!!

Waited 45 minutes for food that was ultimately served cold. I would like to believe that it was the server's last day which would explain why she didn't care. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything good to say about this experience. I would not tell friends and family to go there. I would recommend providing hot food served in a reasonable amount of time since that is literally what customers are paying restaurants for.

Have eaten here a number of times over the years. The warm, inviting atmosphere is the attraction. Other than their delicious bread, the food is disappointing. Have searched the menu, but always seem to come up short. Steaks are to be avoided--about what you would get at a roadside diner. Wedge salad is a flop. Walnut Chicken is my usual choice and it's pretty decent. Steak Tip salad is ok. Fun place, friendly staff but caveat emptor.

As is often the case, it can only take a quick moment to truly make a difference for customers. The manager, Angela, noticed in passing that we were leaving due to an hour long expected wait and kindly took the time to offer us a high top for two that wasn’t being used. She really made our night and went out of her way to do so. We truly appreciated Angela! (My husband had been out plowing for the past 24 hours when this happened.) Angela did not know that, but it really made a difference in our night! Thank you, Angela!

Customer throwing out the race card for a recent visit is BS! She requested a table for 5 when she was the only one present! It is not true that another party like hers was seated. They were only missing ONE person, not FOUR! Truly sad some resort to the race card when they are just not reasonable. I have been a customer of this establishment for over 25 years with over 100 visits, NEVER any sign of racism.

I was discriminated against and treated differently by the hostess, Mandy. She said her policy was to not seat anyone unless their whole party was there. It was a slow Monday night at 5:45 p.m. She refused to seat me even when my husband and 5 year old were getting out of the car. However, the incomplete party ahead of me and behind me were both offered to be seated. They had 3 people in their party just like we did. When I questioned Mandy about her policy, she lied to me and said I told her I wanted to wait for my husband and son. This is completely untrue. The only differences between the other parties and myself was that I am a person of color. There was no apology. She just lied and put words in my mouth while giving me the most unprofessional attitude. We walked out and vowed to never support a business that is outright prejudice and racist towards people of color. Do better, The Common Man. Hire competent hosts/hostesses that don't discriminate based on skin color. This is your brand.

Stopped for dinner at Common Man restaurant in Concord, NH after a long day of flying from Missouri. Dingy, old atmosphere. Ordered a hamburger medium well, & it came out too rare to eat. Very poor service. Waitress never checked on our table, so I took burger to kitchen to put back on grill. Burger once again came to table pink! I sent it back a second time. My husband had finished his dinner when my burger came back to table. I had lost my appetite waiting on the burger. Just paid & left this place. No apologies or credit on bill from staff. Will never return to this restaurant! Hate paying for poor service, bad food & dingy atmosphere.

Nothing special quality wise. Great menu but it did not deliver. Free Cheese and cracker spread was not a draw. The service was friendly. The inside is really cute.

Common Man • Concord, NH (Poor Service) Thursday 9/1/22, 2:15pm-4pm to get a Salad & Fries. Importance •Empty Resturant 3 other guest. •Waiter assigned outside deck, neglected our presence. •Waiter glared at us thru door window, then when we stood up to go cash out ourselves, she burst door open asking if we want our check. •1 Hour 45Minutes for a Salad & Plate of Half Eaten Fries. ATROCIOUS!! ***THIS CHAIN RESTURANT IS OVERRATED. ID RATHER COOK AT HOME WITH LOVE THAN HAND MY MONEY TO RUDE MISTREATMENT FOR A MEAL OUT. I've eaten @ Common Man in Ply, Ashland, Airport Diner, Manchester and 2 others. Concord staff are HEARTLESS, BARBARIC & INCONSIDERATE. Just Close The Resturant If Service Is Ungrateful Trash.

Do yourself a favor, and completely skip the dismissive and unfriendly hostesses, and go straight to the bar to eat. Walked in to find 3 hostesses, all rude, one was just on her phone, one never looked up. One took my phone number for a table and told me it would be a 30 min wait. I told them I would be at the bar waiting. My phone sent their call to spam (4 mins later) and none of them could be bothered to find me at the bar or to send a text (it's 2022). When I went downstairs 30 minutes later to check I was told that I would now have to wait 45 mins for a table since I missed the call, even though the dining room was half-empty, when we arrived and during the extent of our experience. Luckily, the bartenders redeemed this experience by being nice and providing good service. I ordered food at the bar and dinner was pretty good. The baked scallops and side of vegetables were very good, the mashed potatoes were a little dry. I choose the restaurant due to it's location, near my hotel and close to the theatre where I was seeing a concert. If I was in town again, I would try elsewhere or just go directly to the bar.
