Great food, the staff is great. One of the only negatives I have to say is it is very loud during dinner service.

Great addition to the area. A range of higher end food and great drinks. The swordfish and steak are flavorful and cooked to perfection. Drinks are also great and not watered down.

We recently moved to the area - trying out new places. We are definitely impressed with Foundation Kitchen and Bar. Everything is made from scratch - and they work with local farms ?. The food was delicious! We sat at the bar - Heather is top shelf! She makes everyone feel like they are her only customers:) Great food, amazing service, and the blue cheese olives in the martinis..WoW!

Overpriced, for small portions. For 3 people, with 2 small (and I mean small) appetizers, and 3 meals the bill came out to over 120 dollars without tip. We left hungry.
Food taste on the other hand was good, and would be worth the price if the portion was good
Service was decent, nothing over the top. Better places elsewhere just look.

The food is amazing! The atmosphere and ambiance are great. The host/manager ended up taking care of us most of the night because the bartender was too busy on her phone, talking to a friend at the end of the bar or in general just forgetful and poor at her job.

What can I say? The food was outstanding. The dining room was very nice and impeccable. The service was excellent. Wait staff, Morgan was very professional, attentive, cordial and a sweetheart. My wife had the Arrancini appetizer and I had the smoked chicken wings. They were excellent. My wife also had the duck and I had the NY strip. Both were excellent.
I would recommend to anyone to go here and have a great experience and great meal.

Nice restaurant with a great bar. The service was great, the cocktails were good, the food was okay. I wasn't crazy about the Pad Thai, it was too soupy and lacked substance. I would go back.

I had dinner here for the first time. The inside is beautiful but we chose the patio because of the beautiful weather. We had the NY Sirloin and the Bolognese and for dessert the S'mores. Now as you know if you have ever been there the patio is small but I LOVED it. We were the only two out there when a woman with I'm assuming her elderly mother joined the patio area right next to us which was fine untiiiiil I was in the middle of a bite of my DELICIOUS dinner when I ate a mouthful of bug spray ?. I mentioned the small patio area for a reason. There is a sidewalk about 5 feet away. I don't even spray bug spray at a fire. I walk faaaar away to avoid spraying it into people's faces . It was about 5 and not a bug in site. NOTHING to do with the restaurant at all I know but maybe they could add to NO BUG SPRAY to their no smoking sign ??
I will DEFINITELY be back here for more delicious food. MANY compliments to the chef and also the awesome staff!!!

The definitive restaurant to experience the elite fine dining of Boston in a local New Hampshire setting. Don't not eat here (i.e. EAT HERE).
Foundation has an unassuming and welcoming environment that feels at home for anyone coming off a work shift, but also is relaxed and easygoing to serve as a perfect setting for date night.
The atmosphere belies its true, secret strength, though - any dish you order is going to be the best version of that meal that you can get, probably anywhere, but definitely in New England. There's a great selection of handmade and house cocktails that pair well with menu items, and the staff is happy to offer their suggestions in a way that considers your mood and cravings.
10/10 dining, you won't be disappointed if it's your first time or twentieth.
Notes:
- Menu selection is narrow, but think of it as "curated." There are no bad dishes and you're missing out by not trying something new.
- A great venue for a seafood dinner.
- Make a reservation in advance (you can do this through OpenTable online), it'll make seating a little easier and there's not too much room to stand and wait if you're walking in. If the weather's nice, though, Derry's main street is easy walking and has some charming small businesses to look at.

Amazing little farm to table restaurant that is amazing about food allergies. I'm celiac & I can eat most of the items on the menu, as opposed to the seemingly more usual one or two options at other restaurants. So far we've only eaten on the patio, so I haven't really absorbed the full inside atmosphere, but it looks cute.
Dietary restrictions: Very gluten free/celiac friendly menu.

While visiting the area, my mom and I had a great dinner at Foundation! We loved the eclectic vibe and great variety on the menu with foods from different parts of the world. Everything was very fresh and we appreciated the farm-to-table dishes. Heather was our server and she was very friendly and attentive! Great spot in downtown Derry.
