Definitely my go-to place in Southern NH for Mexican food.
Pretty good Mexican, especially for New Hampshire. This isn't going to blow the doors off of Mexican food in, say, New Mexico, but it's flavorful.

Highly recommended. Large portions of excellent, authentic Mexican food at small portion prices. Very friendly family run business. Very low employee turnover rate over the years so even the workers like the place very much. I really cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I try to get there a couple times each week.

Our family really loves this spot. We've been going for many years and it's our favorite mexican food in the area (we've tried them all). We really love the staff. The margaritas are absolutely the best around. Their chili relleno is mega good, with really nice creamy cheese inside. Really, everything we've tried is good. TMI but our son claims that it's the only mexican food restaurant that doesn't make his stomach upset. Anyways... Check it out!

Everything was somehow different than all the other locations. From the chips and salsa, to dinner and drinks...sweet tea and a simple house margarita, all were either watered down and/or bland. Very disappointing. Service also could've used a little pick me up.

Google Maps will take you to the correct location. Ignore the sign near the Dunkin along RT 28 in Derry. This restaurant is located at the Derry Meadows SHOPPES. Similar to other La Carreta restaurants but there is something unique about the interior that I cannot put my finger 🤘 on. I liked the setup and it caught my attention right away. Very friendly service! I was given the La Carreta complimentary chips and salsa immediately. I ordered Special Lunch # 8, burrito 🌯 with a tostada and Mexican rice 🌾. It was good 👍 and I was surprised 😯 that I was able to finish such a lot of food! The same with Special Lunch #5 and #9! #9! #9!#9! Hey! Shut off the Sgt. Pepper 🫑 album, please! Thanks! WiFi available. Quiet music 🎶 played. If you are a fan of La Carreta or Mexican food 🥑, I recommend a visit!
