Very delicious food. Bartenders are out of this world amazing. She prepared us cocktails that were amazing.
We had a very nice dinner at Ember. We had a larger group of 9 and they easily accommodated us. The waiter was very attentive and the food and drinks were very good! I had the scallops with veggie risotto which was very tasty but heavy on the risotto compared to scallops. My brother in law said the Bolognese was amazing!
Very good, slightly disappointed that they don't have an espresso machine
Always a good meal with great service each time we visit. The chef's unique menu keep us coming back for more! Highly recommend for a casual dining-out experience in downtown Dover NH. Plus there's ample parking next-door . each time we visit.

LGBTQ Friendly, Wheelchair Accessible, AWESOME food & staff🤘
We always have an excellent meal at Ember. The service is friendly and welcoming especially Kira.
This is our favorite place on the seacoast! Better than anywhere in Portsmouth/Hampton/Exeter. Seriously, plan to go a few times so that you can try everything. The short rib and the pizza are staples for us.
Ember is our go to in Dover for an excellent meal and outstanding service. Food is prepared perfectly and we love Chef's creative specials. Our server Kira models Unreasonable Hospitality. The staff is always so welcoming and accommodating.
4 People for dinner. A few average meals but overall 2 were cold, dry and tasteless and the other 2 were medium. Fairly expensive for what you receive. Expensive wine and short pours. Still don't understand how restaurants get away with 5-6oz of a $20 bottle of wine and charge $16 for a max 6oz pour?.....That's $64 for a bottle of wine! 320% mark-up. With 4 glasses (at least) in a bottle....I have no problem paying double or $10.00/glass. Not just dissing Ember on the wine price!! Everyone seems to do this. We paid about $320+ for 4 people (with tip) and poor to medium food just does not seem worth it? I think of what the quality of fish and other proteins I could buy for $160 (couple) including a nice bottle of wine with good pours and it honestly makes me want to stay at home and invite friends over. Ambience good. Service Good. Location good. Everything else...stay at home.

It rivals Portsmouth restaurants in food quality and ambiance. Everyone commented on the mashed potatoes that came with a few of the dinners, and they were that good. The specialty drinks weren’t on par with the food, if I’m being honest. Maybe it was just mine. Still giving this a 5 star experience.
All around loved this place. We showed up about 45 minutes before closing and there wasn't a big crowd (awesome sauce). Our waitress was fantastic and the food was awesome. Not a huge fan of their gnocchi dish, but the gnocchi itself was right on the money. Fig and Arugula flatbread was so yummy!! Will go back next time we are in the area.
There is a real creative chef in the kitchen. I had the Jambalaya, which I have eaten many times in the south. Emder's was fantastic and well-balanced. I will order again
Great food!!! Lots of GF options including a GF chocolate cake. I had the scallops with risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Most meals have a spicy zip to them. I asked for my chili vinaigrette on the side and I am glad I did. Our server was excellent, attentive and engaging.
Outstanding. Everything we tried was delicious with highlights being the chicken thighs and lemon cake for dessert
