We have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. They aren’t your typical breakfast/brunch place. Cuisine is delicious and creative. Even my little kids love their bubble waffles. Highly recommend!
Went there with a party of 6 today. They were accommodating and the food was delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and we never felt rushed to leave. An overall exceptional experience. We will be back!
Apparently there is an event closing off many roads and parking in the area. Makes sense now why other businesses in the area were not accepting pickup orders, but Gallivant was and that is why we tried their food. Well I am very disappointed that we were not given any warning about the traffic congestion, and it took forty minutes to park . After all of this we kindly asked for a partial refund, expecting our food to be quite soggy. They said no. Here is a picture of my soggy bread. I would never eat here again
Parking: Took forty minutes to find parking

Amazing menu, drinks, food! Shrimp and grits, Spanish Benedict are incredible. Must try!!
Food was good but the chef audibly scolded the server after taking our question about the aioli to her. Apparently a chef “doesn’t need to answer questions” about menu items, and the server “shouldn’t be giving away recipes”. We were sitting right next to the kitchen…she wanted us to hear it. Not only was it a dramatic, disproportional response but it was extremely unprofessional. Get a new job if you don’t want people spending $115 to ask you about your food. Your aioli isn’t the secret sauce Kristin, relax.
Edit: the OWNER of the establishment wants to suggest it was a misunderstanding at the busiest time, when there were….four tables present? No. This response is 100% gaslighting and an attempt to save face. Moreover, I noticed your sudden “check ins” with only the three tables nearest to your kitchen. Not everyone on the floor as. It was very evident that you were looking for an issue (from the start). Our bill was paid, and we were on our way out. Something I’m sure you also knew. If you really wanted to make sure everything was kosher, you also would have asked at the time you approached me **after the bill was paid*** like every other professional owner/manager does when they know there’s an issue. But wait….there wasn’t an issue, was there? We asked about a sauce and you publicly blew up about it. The issue was you. And you were looking to exacerbate it, evident by your tone and entire demeanor, you were not looking fix an issue that you suddenly made.
You are very welcome for this public review because you deserve it. Your decorum is trash. But your tater tots are good.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share since this place definitely deserves more customers. My fiancé and I decided to try something new for dinner and ended up going here since they recently started doing dinner service on Friday and Saturday. Our meals were delicious and after we were done the chef came over and asked for feedback on my fiancé's Korean Fried Chicken Bao since she was trying something new to improve the dish. I've never had that happen before, and we're definitely going to be repeat customers!

Without a doubt, Gallivant has the best and most creative dishes in Dover. The menu offers original takes on dishes and the results are superb food with lots of flavor. The Loco Moco and Torta are my favorites. The specials are always amazing too.
It's one of my favorite restaurants in Dover and I cannot wait to try their dinner menu. I highly recommend Gallivant, you will not be disappointed.

One of the best spots on the seacoast! We stopped in for dinner while out for a walk, and were not disappointed! Food, drinks & atmosphere was incredible. Much needed in the city, something fresh and different. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely amazing staff that was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The options on the menu were intriguing, even though I had my reservations initially, but we're all very delightful. The bubble waffle and Polish eggs Benedict were fantastic, and topped perfectly by the banana Lumpia. 100% recommend the mermaid milk and Vietnamese coffee, they were a delight.
