So yummy! It's nice to have the cafe option as well as Jook - my friend had French toast and I had a dinner plate. I LOVE their vegetarian option of cauliflower instead of fried chicken. The sides were delicious, and I also enjoyed a seasonal eggnog latte. I am also happy a black owned business is thriving in Dover. I can't wait to visit again!
Great spot to grab a fantastic chicken sandwich. Jook hits all the highlights you want in a lunch spot.
My husband and I were looking for a place to stop for brunch while passing through Dover and the photos on their site looked so good, we decided to try it. Needless to say, the real thing was even better. I think the Sassy Biscuit and Jook A Chicken share the same space and menu. We got the Cluck and the Kentucky and both were delicious. Biscuits and grits were the best. Chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy crunchy, tender inside and not at all oily. Reasonably priced for the portion and quality. Great service, warm and spacious seating area, really nice and welcoming owner. My stomach is growling just thinking about eating there again. Highly recommended!
This place has exceptional fried chicken. The sandwiches are unique and come with really good sides. Excellent corn bread! Chicken and waffles are my go-to for brunch.
1st visit and found a very cool vibe, friendly staff but a little confusing because I wasn't clear if I was in Jook or Sassy Biscuit. Loved the chicken sandwich and cole slaw. Got extra crispy fries which were awesome. The wings were excellent. We'll definitely be back to explore the menu a little more
Chicken was great lots of flavor! Don’t recommend anything else.
I tried the "Jook" chicken sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese, spicy ? and if course ordered it with my favorite cardom' vanilla latte. I feel the latte actually makes the spice stand out longer and the Mac and cheese was delicious.
Very delicious food. Not very many options so definitely go if you want a fried chicken sandwich.
Got the "Jook style" sandwich, 8/10. Tasty and juicy with good crunch. Reminiscent of a southern hot chicken sandwich. The sides were not great. The cole slaw was dry and the mac and cheese lacked flavor.
Had lunch here. Enjoyed the food we ordered but small portions and therefore a bit overpriced. Small menu selection. Nice inexpensive special coctails.

Disappointing chicken and waffles. There was chicken. There were waffles, but it's a hipsterized version of chicken and waffles and not what one would expect from a place claiming to be southern cuisine. Same with the banana pudding! It was technically pudding with bananas, but it wasn't banana pudding. If you're looking for old school classics, steer clear. If you like taking the classics and messing with them until they're indistinguishable from the original, have at it. It lacked cohesion, it lacked the comfort one would get from supposed comfort food.
Delicious chicken sandwich! The sides were comfy home-style. Nice place.
Chicken sandwiches are amazing! Sweet and spicy is heavenly! Collard greens and Mac & cheese were phenomenal! The slab of cornbread was super generous and had just the right amount of sweetness! The drinks were also great and we had a lovely Friday evening! Looking forward to coming back!
Amazing food.. try their breakfast too! I recommend the cluck.. I get it every other saturday!
Limited to chicken but the sandwich is top notch. We had four sides; fries, cornbread, beans, and Mac& Cheese, and all were great.
