Tried the rib-eye steak and cheese sub. One of the best tasting steak and cheese subs I've had in a LONG time! No need for salt and pepper. Cheese was perfectly melted and mixed in with the shaved steak.

The pizza is good but could be better. The dough was great, the cheese was great but the sauce was a little bland. I ordered mozzarella sticks and the sauce that came with those seemed to have more flavor so I spread it over my pizza and when I did that, the pizza was really good! Maybe it was just off for the pizza sauce those times but I’ll keep trying it to see…..
The hamburgers are really good, so we’ll make sure to have those every time we order. The ham sandwiches were great as well, that’s one of my go to orders wherever I go and they are really good here.
The onion rings and fries are really good but I’m sure they would be better if I picked up the food myself instead of DoorDash, which takes a while. We are 7.7 miles away so they won’t deliver to us themselves, which I understand.
I think I’ll go there myself next time to pick the food up myself. I’m sure it’ll be fresh and maybe I’ll update my review after I do that.
Also, I noticed the DoorDash menu is different from the menu that they offer (there are more items available if you order directly from them), so I’m excited to order directly from them and pick it up myself to try new items….
Overall, I think Papa Jay’s is really good and will definitely continue ordering from them!!!!

The food wasn’t bad the one time I had it, however I will not order from them. The employees there are very rude and have no manners, if I didn’t have to deal with them I wouldn’t, but I have to at times for work. I have always been nice and respectful, even though they are not, hopefully that maybe one day it will rub off and they will realize smiling is not the difficult.

Pizza and Service is good. Seems to be themed around takeout and delivery, so dining room and atmosphere are minimalistic

Exactly what a pizza place should be, the beer tenders are great, service is exactly as expected, nothing fancy, but they aren't charging an arm and a leg either, their subs are good

I ordered an XL cheese pizza. 16" is the stated size, mine was about 15.5". Sure to be some cooking shrinkage. No toppings to distract from the review. The pizza was simply fine. Sauce was under seasoned for my liking. Might just be pure canned tomato sauce with no doctoring. The crust was okay in flavor but didn't give the pizza any contrasting texture. Pizza:sauce:cheese ratio was good. Overall it's a pizza I won't go out of my way for but I also won't turn up my nose at. I appreciate it as an option for delivery that isn't the same Greek pizza they have at all the house of pizzas. They must be doing something right, the cars are always out, busy delivering.

I have been going to Papa Jays for about 20 years. It's a staple of the community. Easily has the best chicken tenders and fries in town. I order food maybe a couple times a month, and in the past few months I've noticed the sizes of their subs(rolls) getting thinner and thinner. I get that there is inflation, but it's happened twice so far where the width of the sub rolls have gotten thinner, very noticeably. The subs are what we usually order but I fear the next time it will be on a breadstick sliced in half. Unfortunately we'll have to look elsewhere for subs unless they change back :(
