14 members of my family were in on Wednesday September 10th to celebrate my last chemo treatment and 3 family birthdays….our waitperson was Samantha, she was wonderful, very friendly, never missed a step when serving this loud talkative group. We want to make sure she is given a nice job….she’s an asset to your team….food was delicious….4 of us came back on Saturday for salmon….excellent again… Thanks to the staff, cooks and food we will be in many times again.

Always a fantastic experience! The food and service are consistently excellent. We were full after our entrees but couldn't resist the brownie sundae. It was amazing!

The restaurant is very nice and clean inside. The staff was friendly but never came back to see how things were so no second round of drinks. The food was horrible. The chili sweet potato chips which I was dying to try were cold and chewy, big let down. My pig and fig burger wasn't that bad, the onion rings where decent too but my wife's bolognese was horrible, no flavor and the garlic bread tasted like rotten fish. I took a big bite and wanted to spit it out but didnt want to embarrass myself doing it. Not a good experience!

Found out today that they don't provide a free shift meal for their waitstaff. You don't provide medical, dental, or vision... please step up to at least feed your employees.
The Roost restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The service was slow. The waitress was lovely, but the place was fairly empty (maybe 3-5 tables had customers), and it seemed forever before we were even served water. My husband had the fried chicken cutlet, mashed potato, and vegetables. He was quite unimpressed with the taste and amount of food. I had the fish tacos and fries. I was served 2 tacos that were pretty much devoid of anything. The skimpy servings were also a great disappointment. We will not be returning.

This place has a great atmosphere and live music on Thursday nights. The menu has lots of delicious sounding dishes it was hard to decide. I went with the holy cow tacos and I was a little disappointed. They were fine but nothing spectacular. I would like to try some of the other menu items so I will be back.

Awesome little spot. Amazing food and great drinks. The staff was friendly and the reasturant was very clean. We will be going back to try everything we didn't try this time!
Awesome Sunday brunch.
But always awesome all day.
Great looking spot! Drinks were good. Service was a bit slow. Food was not very good. My steak came out burnt, the asparagus were undercooked and cold, and mashed potatoes were as well. I let the server know and they said they would let the kitchen know and just apologized, but nothing was changed or comped. Unfortunately will not be back.

My wife and I had reservations for Valentine's Day, we waited in line for almost 30 minutes. We then ordered our drinks and after another @5 minutes of waiting we still didn't have our drinks. We left. Frankly the management should be absolutely ashamed of the level of customer service. I fully appreciate and understand that Valentine's Day can be very busy, on the other hand we had a reservation and had an extended wait. At no point were we offered an explanation, an apology, a free drink, possibly a deal on an app. I'm not trying to get something for free, but if I have a reservation I expect a certain level of service. If I were the owner I would fire, or retrain, everyone.
I have had great meals here in the past. This time Baked Haddock dinner with jasmine rice and glazed carrots… haddock had a ritz cracker crumbled on top dry temp ok, rice was lukewarm at best and pasty, carrots still crunchy, no “glaze” lukewarm. Not busy at all so very disappointing. Offered to reheat, at this point the fish would be very dry and even more pasty rice. No thank you, offered choice of 2 desserts for inconvenience. Asked to take home, when at home there was melted whipped cream that made the cheesecake crust soggy. Very disappointing.
The food was uninteresting and surprisingly lacking in flavor.
I am a long time customer of the Roost. I live close by so it is so convenient to get to!
I recently dined there our server Christy was awesome but unfortunately the meals were vey disappointing. We ordered the mac and cheese which was dry and the haddock was cold with one limp lemon
I’m not a fan of the new menu changes! I use to love the soft pretzels and I the way they served the haddock over mashed potatoes.
I hope management keeps these reviews in mind. I really don’t want to take my business elsewhere.
Underwhelming portion size and food quality for the price. The bruschetta had 3 cherry tomatoes and 2 cherry tomato sized pieces of mozzarella. The $30 risotto had 4 overcooked and gritty scallops with a heaping pile of obviously microwaved green beans. Maybe they do better with their target demographic, but it certainly doesn't compare to most restaurants in Dover. I should have realized why the place was dead when I went.
