The afternoon tea was very nice. Pleasant atmosphere, food was good. Just didn't care for the crabmeat. All in all very nice experience.
Great food. The Duchess leaves you full and never wanting more. So many choices of delicious teas. Love the waitresses. The architecture of the dining rooms are awesome.
The tea room decor was beautiful. Loved the place settings. Service and food was great. It was my third time there and I will be back.
Very cool idea but was tainted by the service we received. Our server seemed more concerned with being petty towards my mother-in-law than making sure we were enjoying ourselves. It got to the point of being unprofessional and making us both uncomfortable.
It was a beautiful room, nice tea and food. The servers were very nice and helpful. They helped wish my mom a happy birthday.
This was our second trip to the Silver Fountain Inn & Tea Parlor and we were very disappointed. Our first time was a Christmas Tea and with the exception of a slightly rude interaction with a server everything was amazing. This time we had extremely poor service. Our waitress was a young girl who was not very attentive. One of the water glasses on the table was dirty and we had no silverware, we had to ask another waitress for a new glass and silverware as ours was no where to be seen. The soup was interesting. It was more of an applesauce texture than a soup. The bottom tier had ham and apricot biscuits (these were good but a little dry and tough), Benedictine Sandwiches (light and delicious), and Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese tartlets (delicious but tiny). The second tier had Carrot Cake Scones with Cream Cheese Frosting and Pecans which were amazing. The top tier was very disappointing. It had an outstanding Strawberry Rhubarb Gelato, ok Raspberry Cream Puffs, Petite Fours which had way too much of a marzipan flavor, and Blueberry Lavender Macarons that tasted like soap. Our teas were all fantastic but about halfway through our meal our waitress came over to let us know they have other reservations and will need us to finish our meal. I was in absolute shock. I understand it's a holiday but that's exactly why we were there. The table next to us on the left was not rushed but they had a different waitress. The table to the right had the same waitress as we did and they too were rushed. It was an extremely upsetting experience and we will most likely never return. Thank you for putting such a damper on what was a lovely Mother's Day.
The decor and ambiance is visible inside and outside. We were greeted when we arrived and seated right away. The table setting was beautiful and elegant. We ordered the Dutchess with our choice of tea. There are so many teas to choose from. Our meal was delicious. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this tea house.
This was our 5th tea at Silver Fountain and it never disappoints! The food is delicious and the service is warm and attentive.
The Tea Room is so quaint and unusual, it was creatively decorated and had themed rooms. The food and tea were delicious, very fresh and a very nice selection. We will be going back.
The Silver Inn Tea Parlor is a wonderful experience! We went for my friend's birthday and ordered “ The Duchess “. Three tiers of deliciousness! It includes soup, finger sandwiches, scones, and sweets, along with two pots of tea. The tea selection is amazing! The theme was “ Alice in Wonderland”. I highly recommend this venue. It is fun, anytime, but a great place for a special occasion.

We had a delightful time at the Silver Fountain Tea Parlor. The atmosphere, the attentive server, the delicious tea and accompaniments made our time there special. This has always been our go-to for tea parlours, but this time, we noticed the portion size of the savories that were included were miniscule and much smaller than we had enjoyed in the past. The scones were delicious and appropriately sized, but the savory entrees would have had a greater impact if they were a little bigger. Also, the gelato was contained in a tiny 1-inch paper wrapper...what was the point of even serving it? We may return again some day, but we hope they improve their portion sizes in the near future so that they make the cost of the meal worthwhile.
It was such an elegant experience for the three of us! There were so many tea varieties it was difficult to choose. We had many questions about them, and our server was happy to answer them all. It took us some time to decide but we did not feel rushed. The 3 different teas were wonderful but unfortunately, I cannot remember what we picked. We ordered 2 two-tiers which included two kinds of scones, mushrooms, bruschetta with chocolate hummus and meatballs. They also catered to one of us by adding cucumber sandwiches since she had some food restrictions. The table settings, furniture, decorations, etc., made you feel like you were royalty. We were able to look at some of the bedrooms and private baths. They were absolutely beautiful. Everything was pristine. We look forward to going back and having tea and desserts! Thank you for making us feel so special.
I treated my young grand-daughter and my daughter there as a Christmas present. We ordered the Duchess of Bedford Tea tier. Every single thing we ate was delectable! With it we sipped Mango Pear white tea. Heavenly! They played music softly in the background. The decor is gorgeous. I could live there quite happily. It was a wonderful experience. We keep talking about it. We'll definitely be visiting again!
I took a friend for afternoon tea as I have been there before and even had my daughter’s baby shower there. Both previous experiences were very nice. Today was a disappointment. We ordered the Duchess tea service at $38/person. We each had a tea cup sized portion of beef stew and shared a tiered tray of a bun filled with curried potatoes, a small open-faced sandwich and a three bite salad served in a cupcake liner. One scone each and a sweet tier of two macaron, two thimbles of ice cream and a couple of stale petit fours, per person. There was also one tiny cake of some sort, which my friend ate and said it was “ok.” The food I have had with previous experiences was much better and more aligned with a true afternoon tea. It was explained that each tea included two small pots of tea, per person but, if we didn’t want to drink both pots there, we could take home a sachet of leaves. We opted for this and realized, after the fact, that we were charged an additional $4.95, for each sachet. Service was fine and the Inn is charming and lovely. This experience was disappointing and we won’t be returning.
