Amazing food, beautiful space, great service. We loved every single dish we had! The char sui pork was a crowd favorite. We got two desserts too and both were delicious. Some great wine options as well!

My friend and I visited Stalk on Friday night. The ambiance, service, and cocktails were very very good. However, we felt the food was underwhelming. The chicken bun was ok, but the portobello was tough and chewy. She ended up using a knife and fork to eat it. The swordfish was dry and salty — so disappointing! It looked beautiful, but ate like a very dry fish. My friend’s falafel was also so dry. It was in desperate need of moisture in that mixture. It really was like eating sand. But again, looked stunning on the plate. Stalk gets a high mark for plating, but then, unfortunately, reality sets in. We woukd not return.

Definitely a hidden gem! Unassuming on the outside, but such a culinary experience on the inside. I wanted to order the whole menu, it was all so unique! My favorites were the ceviche, the chair siu pork, and the lemon chiffon cake (you _cannot_ skip dessert here). The service was great- they recommended dishes that turned out to be amazing. Also the cocktails were perfectly balanced and very tasty, I would come back here again!

What a delightful dinning experience. Everything about this place was perfect. Their reservation system is super simple and easy to use. A small, inviting restaurant with a staff that truly cares about the entire experience. Our waiter Gabriel was a joy and made the whole dinner fantastic. Drinks were creative and tasty. The appetizers, dinner and even dessert were all a journey of creative flavors. Trust me when I say these dishes were put together for a specific flavor experience, even if you haven't heard of an ingredient but are curious, just order it. You will not be disappointed.

Unbelievable food, cocktails and service. Went there for my birthday dinner and it was an unforgettable experience. Every dish was out of the world - especially the halibut entrée and the grilled peach and lobster appetiser. Despite limited options for vegetarians, every veg/vegan item in the menu was also very good. Highly recommend if in Dover!

This is the best restaurant in Dover, and it’s not close. If there were more restaurants like Stalk, the world would be a better place.
Staff is great - all pros that work here.

Outstanding restaurant. The food was delicious. The bun with chicken thigh was great, with wonderful flavors. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the sauce was awesome. Finally, the lemon cake with warm blueberries was amazing. Recommend highly! Bon appetit!

Stalk was a great find with terrific food. It's a small place but has big flavors. Very friendly service and wide ranging menu selections. I had the vegan manicotti and it was delicious for a main and the chicken bons for an app. I have dietary restrictions due to a dairy allergy and had no problems finding things to eat. Will definitely make the 45 minute trip to come here again!

delicious, well thought out dishes, fresh and high quality ingredients. while vegans are limited to a few dishes, staff is knowledgeable and are able to omit dairy ingredients for some of the vegetarian dishes. great option for higher end vegetarian/vegan friendly dining in the area Updated from previous review on 2025-07-03
Excellent food and service from one of the top chefs in the region.

Epically good food. I think i had the Plum Char Siu Pork 😆. I just ordered what the server seemed excited about considering i was new to the menu. Incredibly delicious dish, and i hear it’s a favorite with the locals. Wish i lived closer!

Stalk is my happy place-my recent visit only reinforces this. A place that can take something seemingly ordinary (Black Garlic Carrots) and through carefully chosen accoutrements and expert cookery elevate it far beyond its humble origins. The Lamb Kofta meatballs, mouthwateringly amazing on their own, are paired with an incredible Harrisa hummus, a bright small salad and grilled pita (they season the pita!) Ending our pregaming, we tried the revolving version of Stalk's Caesar, this iteration having (just enough) new potatoes and a lively thyme Caesar dressing and hand cut pepper croutons.
For beverages, I indulged in a gin martini special where the bartender displayed her whimsy and joie de vivre in her creation.. so much so I ended up ordering another, not a common occurrence.
My entree was the Crispy Yucatan half-chicken, being tempted by the Pasilla Molé. This did not disappoint-the chicken was perfectly cooked and dressed with just the right amount of sour orange crema-applied with an expert hand, there was enough to let you crave more, but to also let the cookery shine. The Esparote refried black beans added a nice texture and addition to a bite of chicken. The roasted sweet potatoes were a rarity-crisp and nicely carmelised, another example of crisp cookery. The charred corn and snap pea salsa fresco was brightened by a splash of finely diced pineapple that added that sweet bit of complimentary acidity.
To finish things off, I kept with the Mexican theme and ordered the house-made chocolate Fresno-yes the chile! ice cream, a perfect nod to the Aztec/Mexican chocolate traditions. And yes, there was a zzzipppp!.... in a good way! This ended our evening and I would be terribly remiss if I didn't mention the fantastic staff-knowledgeable, attentive and clearly proud to be a part of this wonderful restaurant.
Sure, you could come to Stalk for a 'special occasion', but Chef Nicole and her staff make every visit a special occasion~

Excellent local spot with outstanding food and drinks. The atmosphere was cool without being pretentious, pleasant without being stuffy, and engaging without being overwhelming. The cavatelli entree was amazing as were the steak tips. Service was very friendly and prompt. Very highly recommended for a night out in Dover.
