Outstanding on every level - the best meal we have had in years. My husband and I have tried many restaurants locally and this is by far our favorite. The level of service, the warm ambience and exquisite food creates a superb dining experience. Plates are beautifully presented and are a culinary masterpiece. Jamie and his team are a class act.

A friend recommended that we try Ambrose and we sent them a big thank you after our dinner there. Our table was outside on a path along the side of the building and wasn't the greatest - apparently the dining room and rear patio are better - but they were short staffed and had limited availability.
The food was very good and the service was outstanding - more than making up for the table! Our server was that rare combination of professionalism, friendliness, knowledge and courtesy. Will be returning soon!

We had an amazing experience at Ambrose in Exeter, NH! Our servers—Chris, Jamie, and Lidet—were absolutely outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and handled our large party with ease. Stanley, the cook, even came out to say hello and check in, which made the night feel extra special.
We ordered a spread of dishes including the gnocchi, pollo Pablo, spanakopita, short rib, and hamachi crudo, and every single person at the table went home raving about how delicious everything was. Truly exceptional food and service. We left completely satisfied—can’t wait to come back!

Like most tapas places if you like to spend a lot of money and leave hungry dine here. To the chefs credit everything we had was delecious. Tip for the restaurant, if there are 4 people at the table bring out 4 pieces of bruschetta, dont be cheap and bring out 3. The atmosphere is cute but it has a awkward vibe due to the music they were playing. The seating was uncomfortable and the service lagged.
Highly recommend Ambrose. What an elegant, beautiful spot to enjoy a delicious, fresh meal served by the warmest of people.

There were about 6 tables in the dining room. We had a reservation for 6:30. We were the only party there and were seated next to the kitchen door with one of our chairs being right next to the door. We asked to move tables and were told there were other reservations- we left at 8:30 and there was only one other party there the entire time. To further clarify, we were there for 2 hours with 4-5 tables being left open, any of which would have been a better table. The food not great, especially for the price.

Very disappointed. My friend and I had a 6:30 reservation. We were the only people in the dining room. They sat us next to the service door. We had to move the table back to give my friend more room, so she didn’t feel like she was sitting in the kitchen. We asked to move to another table, and we were told no because there were reservations at those tables. One other party came while we were there. There were about 8 tables in the dining room and 6 of them were empty the entire time…
We shared the salad. We took a few bites, and it was terrible. My friend had two bites of her butternut squash lasagna. We each page $115 including tip for food we could barely eat. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a restaurant.
