My wife and I tried Otto’s on the recommendation of our sons. We arrived early on a Friday night, and were seated next to the entrance. We ended up putting our jackets back on (it’s February in NH), so I asked to be seated somewhere away from the door as the restaurant had many empty tables. We were reseated by our gracious waitress in the back. Ordered the chicken and pear pizza, a Caesar salad, and a draft beer. The salad was great, and the pizza had a great crust but was bland. It’s a great idea, pairing a sweet fruit with chicken and fontina cheese. However, the chicken breast meat was unseasoned and cut along the grain of the meat, and the pears were unripe and had no flavor at all. It’s hard to make this type of dish year round when the fruit is out of season you really need to make something else. It’s hard to believe that the chef/cook is actually eating his/her pies, and yes these are well thought out pies. Try a pear marmalade or a jam, at least you can keep the flavor profile constant. My mistake for ordering it. I’ll go back, I’m sure they some great pizzas!

Second time we have had issues with take out. Order pizza online. Arrive its not ready. Person checks on it and comes back to say it was “missed” . Its too bad because the pizza is great but the operation isnt the greatest.

Had a great lunch at Otto while doing some shopping in downtown Exeter. We had the Squash, Ricotta, Cranberry and the Sausage & Vidalia Onion pizzas. Both really tasty. Great friendly service. Fair prices. We will be back

I ordered the butternut squash & cranberry pizza with no cow Derry tubing in goat cheese & the pizza showed up with a layer of mozzarella on it. I sent it back & had it remain. It tasted good but disappointed that the allergy instruction was not taken seriously.

Very casual and nice atmosphere. Pizza is amazing, not your average pies, but fresh ingredients and so yummy.

UPDATE: I received a response from OTTO (see below) and I provided more information as requested, but have NOT heard back yet. So, they never properly addressed the issue and I guess they are ok with providing subpar service.

I ordered a pizza and was told the wait would be 20-30 minutes. 40 minutes go by and I start to see people who arrived after me get their orders. I asked about the status of my order and was told it would be right out. Another 10 minutes goes by and I ask about my order again. This time I asked if they forgot to place the order and the kid replies, "it was never sent to the kitchen, must have been an error in the system." Funny, because you charged my credit for the pizza so that worked ok. I then asked how much longer and he said 15-20 minutes. Now its been over 45 minutes and I'm annoyed that they didn't tell me the real reason the first time I asked. I requested a refund because I didn't have another 20 minutes to wait and quite frankly I was not impressed with their service staff (never got an apology). They were clueless and the bartender seemed annoyed when I asked for a beer while I was waiting for my pizza. That's the last time I will take my business there.

Pizza is excellent. But waiting an extra 20 mins for a takeout order isn’t. If you are looking for timely service look elsewhere.
