Bring back the orange juice please. Breakfast without orange juice isn't breakfast. Love this place but please return the orange juice. I've missed my regular schedule visiting this place just because you won't sell orange juice. And it's a bummer.
Very slow service, not impressed . food was good.
Big Bean is in a perfect spot right in downtown Exeter — super convenient if you’re walking around town or meeting up with friends. The space itself is really cool, with eclectic posters and string lights that give it a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
That said, I can only give it four stars. The last couple of visits, my coffee order wasn’t quite right, and there was a mix-up with our pancakes too. It’s nothing major, but a bit more attention to detail would definitely bump it up to five stars. Still worth a visit, especially if you love a cozy café vibe
Our party of seven enjoyed our experience at the big Bean in Exeter. The staff was prompt courteous and kept us abreast of our situation with such a large party. When we were seated, we were able to get our food in a relatively quick manner. The menu has a wide variety of selections some of the highlights Were the scramble bowl, the make your own sandwich and the sweet potato hash. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would highly suggest you check out the spot when you’re in the Exeter area.
Delicious food. Topanga one of my favorites with the garlic smashed potatoes
I had not been to Exeter in a long time. My husband and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast and saw a group of people going down to this place. We asked about the quality and were told that it was their go to place on Sundays. The place did not disappoint! Fabulously creative menu and special items. On a good note, it was hard to pick from so many good options. I chose an egg Benedict special which was great. My husband chose an egg special with bacon and hash browns. We did not order their muffins but saw one go by. I ordered 4 of them - not your typical sugar bomb with yummy fillings such as the strawberry shortcake and the raspberry with chocolate chips. A little slow with our meals but one expects that with a crowd on a Sunday AM. We are looking forward to going back. Staff was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is not big but with a funky vibe.
Best breakfast in town! Local classic, food is amazing everytime and staff is awesome!!
My husband also raves about the bathrooms!!!
Breakfast is fabulous with homemade bread & muffins. Staff friendly & efficient. Decor relaxing, soft music, lots of natural light.
So good...I love how it's hidden away. Feels like a secret and the food is always good!

My mother and I came across this restaurant after having a relaxing time at the salt caves across the street. We truly enjoyed their breakfast menu and had there Sweet Potatoe Hash Scrambler/Skillet. It was amazing and we can't wait to go back. Great vibes along with a nice relaxing atmosphere.

We found Big Bean while walking through downtown. It had far more breakfast options than the inn we were staying at. After a short wait (shorter than BB anticipated) we were seated. It was busy and it seemed to take a while to get our food. Large portions and better prices than the inn where we stayed. It's loud and lively with good tunes. Coffee was ok and the lack of fresh milk or cream was disappointing.
Rhode Island style tater tots were on the menu. We are from RI and don't know what this means.

Super cool vibe with a fun punky/alternative aesthetic. Food was great! I got one of their specials; bruschetta with whipped feta, fermented strawberries, and balsamic vinaigrette - unreal flavor! Super unique spot. Can't speak to the other commenter's speed of service complaints; everything came out timely. I'll be back when I'm in the area again for sure.
