The breakfast is always spot on but we tried lunch for the first time & it did not disappoint. The hulk burrito was unbelievably good

Me and my boyfriend stopped in for a hearty breakfast and coffee in the early morning after hearing a lot of recommendations from some locals. I was pretty disappointed the first few minutes when both our coffees were burnt tasting. I like my coffee black as I like to enjoy the flavor of coffee so it was incredibly disappointing. Our food came out incredibly fast which probably was the second red flag. His scramble bowl made him incredibly ill having to run to the bathroom more the 6 times within the first hour of consumption. My food was pretty good but I just got a basic egg and cheese sandwich and basic blueberry pancakes, pretty hard to mess up. The server herself was very prompt, friendly and attentive however after being ill I don't think we'll consider again.

I love this place! I think all the food is probably good, but the breakfast items are exceptional. I had bagel breakfast sandwiches here twice, and they were delicious. The servers are nice and friendly, and there was plenty of seating when I visited at lunchtime.

Excellent food and very nice atmosphere.. I had the Eggs Benedict with home fries very very tasty and my partner had the Plain Jane burger with fries .. the burger was far from plain and in fact quite delicious : ) The staff was kind and professional

The food tasted just as I remembered from my time in Durham; the morning tots and freshly baked muffin were great 👍

Yum! This was my second time at the Big Bean for breakfast, (my husband’s first), and the food has been consistently fresh and delicious both times I’ve been here. I love that everything is scratch made in small batches! It’s amazing that there’s a sustainable local food place within a half hour of home. We will be back! 🤤
Bring back the orange juice please. Breakfast without orange juice isn't breakfast. Love this place but please return the orange juice. I've missed my regular schedule visiting this place just because you won't sell orange juice. And it's a bummer.
Very slow service, not impressed . food was good.
Big Bean is in a perfect spot right in downtown Exeter — super convenient if you’re walking around town or meeting up with friends. The space itself is really cool, with eclectic posters and string lights that give it a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
That said, I can only give it four stars. The last couple of visits, my coffee order wasn’t quite right, and there was a mix-up with our pancakes too. It’s nothing major, but a bit more attention to detail would definitely bump it up to five stars. Still worth a visit, especially if you love a cozy café vibe
Our party of seven enjoyed our experience at the big Bean in Exeter. The staff was prompt courteous and kept us abreast of our situation with such a large party. When we were seated, we were able to get our food in a relatively quick manner. The menu has a wide variety of selections some of the highlights Were the scramble bowl, the make your own sandwich and the sweet potato hash. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would highly suggest you check out the spot when you’re in the Exeter area.
