Good soup
Delicious soup and bread. We are so lucky so have such great restaurants downtown and this is a welcome addition!
The champ has returned and still punching above weight. The soup and bread remain terrific, and the sweets are excellent too. Cozy spot and great folks. Right on!

Just the way we all remember it. I kinda got emotional while I was there. I had the German mushroom soup. In my head I was expecting a creamy soup. It’s broth based. Picture French onion soup with mushrooms & croutons. Delish. Anadama bread! Thick slices. And a 1/2 of a BLT. PERFECTION. I also bought a loaf of anadama to go with it
My family and I went to The Loaf and Ladle today for the first time and it did not disappoint. The fresh bread was delicious. The staff was polite and attentive. All the food we got was amazing. The space is great, lots of indoor seating and even during a lunch rush the service was fantastic. The restaurant was clean and very well redone from the previous space. We will definitely be back again to try more yummy bread and to try some soups! Well done Ulery family.
Good quality soups and bread from scratch. Their lentil and split pea soups were not cooked long enough and a little crunchy.
Great soups and bread daily.
