4.5 irl. Charming historic country inn built in 1793. Beautiful rooms, room 11 is an especially large suite. Friendly innkeeper who is incredibly hospitable. Clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Includes a large social room, complimentary breakfast is served in the morning. Breakfast is delicious. I was disappointed that the pub is not open for dinner. They will, however, provide catering for a large group if you order and pay in advance.

Reservation experience was fantastic, inn keeper is super nice and offers great service. Breakfast was very good and the inn itself is very quaint. Our room was on the top floor and was very clean and taken care of. The furnishings were beautiful and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and spotless. Also the common spaces were nice to hang out in and relax and read a book. We really had a relaxing stay.

The owners allowed us to move an outdoor wedding here on a day of horrific thunderstorms. Our son and his bride were married in the parlor after descending the staircase in this magnificent old inn. Beautiful pics were taken (between torrential rain and lightning bolts! ) in the quaint and lively town center. We had a great catered meal and spent a wonderful evening together in an air conditioned room (instead of under a soggy pavilion!) which we were allowed to decorate with wild flowers. The next morning, with advance reservation, the groom's immediate family joined the bride's immediate family for a delicious homemade breakfast at the inn. The owners of the inn provided a young couple with an amazing place for an awesome wedding and a start for the joining of two families....Fitzwilliam inn is the best!

Lovely rooms, beautifully decorated. Staff were very welcoming and caring.

The food was very good,and the hosts were lovely. But what stands out from our evening there— the dining room and the beams. Simply a delightful setting! We will definitely return!

My home away from home. Step in that side door and be greeted by warm truly caring folks. Nice rooms, great food and later friendly folks at the bar with whom to share a night cap and exchange stories. As good as it gets. Even though I'm from “away”, I'm always welcomed and instantly comfortable. Thanks, Chelley and Dave!

The inn was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were bright and clean, the restaurant area was a great place to relax after a wonderful wedding. The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. And breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. I can't recommend the Fitzwilliam Inn enough!

Beautiful inn, tastefully decorated. Very clean. Continental breakfast included. Great landscaping. Does have a restaurant and bar on property but we didn't utilize that feature due to timing of visit. Would stay again.
