“We booked with Chef Joe’s catering as they are the exclusive caterer for the wedding venue that we booked (The RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain). Due to our work schedules and distance from the venue, we were not able to get to a tasting before booking so I went in fully reliant on reviews and I will tell you, reviews don’t do them justice! We had such an unbelievable experience with Chef Joe’s. There were a few custom hors d’oeuvres that we wanted to offer that weren’t on their menus and without hesitation they not only agreed to make them, but they offered us multiple different options, serving styles and flavor profiles we could pick from. For example I saw a steak frite bite on Pinterest and I sent it to Mora as an idea and she took that concept, improved it and we were able to offer it as a passed hors d’oeuvre. They were also able to execute it better than I ever could have imagined (people are still talking about it months later). They were so attentive to not only us, but all of our guests. We had a few guest in attendance that were gluten free and during cocktail hour, they only had to identify themselves once for the staff to remember. From there, all of the staff were quick to indicate which hors d’oeuvres they could eat without any modification. It’s a small thing but it meant the world to our friends and family that have allergies. They really felt like they were being taken care of and cared for. My husband and I had a server with us making sure we were drinking water and lemonade and enjoying our hors d’oeuvres while we took photos after the ceremony which was incredible. Even when I was getting my dress bustled, our server was right there with me making sure I was fed and had a drink! Dinner was incredible, we offered a short rib, panko chicken and a gnocchi and everything was served hot and it was delicious. We had multiple servers checking in on us throughout the night too, making sure that we were well taken care of. The bar service also deserves a special shout out. The bar staff was absolutely incredible, such big smiles all night and the drinks were amazing!“
