The Dutch Treat Reviews
Good food! Cute place. Clean bathrooms. Overall a quick stop on our trip that was enjoyable.
While in Franconia to ski at Cannon, we stopped to have dinner at The Dutch Treat. Definitely was "not" a treat. When we first walked in the woman looked annoyed that she had to seat us. When we first sat down, they told us what was not available on the menu because they were sold out, which was probably the only two things our kids would have ordered. We started with French onion soup. It was cold, and the cheese was not melted in the oven. It almost looked like it was placed...read full review
We stopped there for dinner this evening & we're told they didn't have any food "well we have food but we have a private junction from 5-9 for police e officers. that's great but wouldn't you think they would have posted that? The Dutch Treat offers fresh and delicious food with exceptional service. Located downtown with a beautiful mountain view, it is a gem worth visiting. The fried cheese curds are addicting, and the corned beef special is a must-try. Friendly staff, great for a quick solo lunch or a brunch stop on a road trip. The fish & chips are cooked perfectly, with a golden, crisp coating and not greasy at all. The fish chowder is the best meal of a trip and the apple pie is fought over. It's a small town bar and restaurant with a great vibe, very clean, and a good selection. It is a great place for an early dinner and is perfect after exploring the White Mountains.
