Axe & Ale Taphouse

Tried this place for lunch only, no axe throwing. Food was pretty good. Our server was awesome. But the kitchen was super slow with only 3 tables filled. Took 45 minutes to get appetizers. 45 minutes for pretzels?!? 45.

Good food and wonderful atmosphere! The 1 bartender really held her own and still managed to get us our food and drinks in a timely manner. Thank you so much for having us!

Really cool place. I went while my son was at the theater next door. Lots of good options the menu but I elected for the Mac and Cheese with Braises beef. It was amazing. The sauce wasn't overly thick but not thin either. It was the perfect consistency.

They have a burger challenge where you have to eat I think 4 burgers and fries in 20 minutes.

I didn't do any are throwing but I did see some people doing it. They have a lot of bays. It looks like the place would be a good time on a weekend!

One unique thing...the urinals in the men's room are beer kegs!!

Four of us went here for axe throwing and dinner. The axe throwing was fun. When we went to check in for our dinner reservation we were told that it would be a fifteen minute wait. When they finally sat us, it took the waitress, Lexi, about 10 minutes to acknowledge that we were sat at one of her tables. We waited another 10 minutes for our water and soda to come, the soda was wrong.. During this time two other parties were sat, and we ordered our food... 40 minutes later, we still have not received our food, but the two other parties that were sat after us, had received theirs. Our party left without our food being completed or served to us. We waited a full hour before we left for others to be served who arrived after us, to be served first. We didn't order anything extravagant.. some burgers and fries..

Came in tonight for axe throwing - that was a good time.
We tried to sit for dinner afterwards - we made a reservation for 6:30 - was told that we had to wait 15 mins before we could sit (even though we made a reservation).
Finally got seated and service was beyond slow. Took almost 30 mins to even get drinks, we placed our orders. The tables around us were empty at that time, but quickly filled up around us. We sat for an hr waiting for our food as everyone around us had already received theres.
All we ordered were burgers - shouldn't take an hour to get a burger.

Axe throwing fun. Made reservations to eat for 630 and apparently that wasn't enough. Finally got seated 10 minutes after. Waited for over an hr for food while we watched two tables that were sat after us get their food. This establishment lacks the capacity and capability of serving, and producing food, zero stars. I will never come back.

The axe throwing was a great time every body enjoyed it. Even the wives. The food was excellent. I got a salad with grilled chicken. Had a couple of Guinness. There was entertainment. There was a young man who was playing guitar, which was very entertaining. Great place. Great fun. Will be up in the summer ☀️

Was disappointed. We were sat at a dirty table. Ordered mama’s meatballs as an appetizer. They were burnt and we had no plates or silverware. Our server disappeared for about 1/2 an hour. We have been there a couple other times and it was better.

I came in on a Sunday while football was playing. Many screens, beer choices aren’t bad. Food? The food was good. The pizza wing deal on football Sundays are worth it. Good bang for your buck. Details need to be asked but I hot 20 wings that were all juicy and crispy AND a 2 topping 12” pizza for 30 bucks. What!?!?! Watched the game and good food. I recommend coming here for happy hour and game days. Good service, good food.

Gluten free gf items are labeled on the menu. Gf buns for the burgers, gf crust available for the pizza. Everybody liked their meal and everyone got an axe to stick!

Live music was good. Bartender not so much, didn't clean the bar when we sat down after another patron left. Ordered Jameson and coke, by far the least amount of alcohol I've ever had poured into a drink, makes Applebee's shine. Also $11 per drink (coke)

We went during the day on a Tuesday so it was very quiet. The food there is top notch and we had a very enjoyable lunch. The beer selection is from all over the state so much to choose from. We did not try ace throwing so I can't speak to that activity.

This restaurant pleasantly surprised us. We gave it a try after reading the great reviews! The food was very yummy, great portion sizes. It was fun to watch people throw axes as we ate our meal. There was also live music which is always nice.

Only giving it one star because you can't give less. Maybe the worst restaurant in New Hampshire. The only way this place is still in business is because they have the axe throwing gimmick. Stopped in tonight for a quick bite because it was the only place that didn't have a 45 minute wait on a Saturday night, (that should have been my first clue). 90 minute wait for food in a half empty restaurant. Appetizer meatballs were barely warm, pizza tasted like it was frozen, and the bread on my sandwich was stale. Only thing that was good was the tater tots (which by the way they charge you an extra $3.50 to substitute for fries with a sandwich) Two hours and 90 bucks later for two people we walked out of there hungry. Never again.

Went as a family for my mom’s birthday. Perfect atmosphere, excellent food, & the axe throwing was so much fun!! Devyn our waitress was EXCELLENT!! What a sweetheart!
