Ordered the hot roast beef and it was a step below Arby's. Save your money and go somewhere else. Friend ordered a milkshake and got it 10 minutes after his meal.

Good selection of flavors. Ice cream isn't served cold enough. We took our pints right to the car and opened them in the lot. Ice cream was pretty soupy. Should have been much firmer. Probably won't go back.

Ordered the full belly fried clams dinner. I should have gone back and returned it. Clams had a bad after taste and the batter was over the top loaded with salt and pepper.

I can't say enough kind words about Serena the manager who returned my wallet to me and even went out of her way to mail it, saving me many hours in the car retrieving it. They also make a LIFE CHANGING orange creamsicle shake. THANK YOU! THANK YOU SERENA!!! You are a wonderful human being!

Should have know something had changed when we pulled into an almost empty parking lot on a Saturday afternoon in prime season. Food was totally changed from past years and terrible taste and quality. Service when ordering was rude and could not communicate with us. Unfortunately nothing good lasts forever. Please don't make the same mistake as we did.

It’s such a shame that such an iconic place has the worst service. Had a horrible experience a few months ago when I ordered a fisherman’s platter and an extra order of scallops. Did t get the scallops, and waited over 45 minutes for it. I called to speak to management and asked for them to call me back, but never heard back.. today we tried their ice cream, and we waited for about 15-20 minutes for a few scoops. There were people infront of us waiting and I could only IMAGINE how long they were waiting for.. we will never be back..

These owners have completely ruined one of Gilford’s previously wonderful experiences. The food is low quality and is being ‘cooked’ by people who seem to know little or nothing about cooking. Seems like the oil isn’t changed often…and, don’t get me started about the ice cream. Can’t be made there…it’s so, so disappointing…and, at the very least they should turn the freezer down a few degrees so that it doesn’t melt all over your hands and clothes before you get back to your car…best suggestion: go elsewhere

My daughter, granddaughter and I stopped Sunday night enroute to Bank of NH Pavillion for a concert. My daughter got a cheeseburger and fries, granddaughter got a chicken Caesar salad and I had the lobster roll and chips. All were excellent. We live in midcoast Maine and SIL is a lobsterman and I will say this is the best one I have had at a restaurant in a long time. My daughter rarely finishes any meal but ate her whole burger and half her fries, granddaughter did a respectable job on her salad. I hope to take a day trip just to get another lobster roll.

Looking forward to summer for a Sawyers hot fudge sundae.. my order was taken quickly and counter person was very friendly. I was extremely disappointed with the sundae.. ice cream was not at all as good as it has been for the past 7 years .. Hot Fudge was horrible ..just chocolate syrup pretty much with a strange coconut flavor to it .. not thick or rich .. I always ask for extra and willing pay the extra.. $10.00 for a large hot fudge sundae. Only positive is that it will be easier for me to stick to my diet driving by each day .. not worth the calories anymore. I am not a person who usually posts negative comments.. but such a change in quality
