Absolutely awesome fried food. Whole belly clams... delicious ? Owner proprietor. A one man show... got it down hard and fast. Don't let the building ( aka the cover of the book) dissuade you... Closed on Tuesdays... because he's down in Boston piers getting the fresh seafood for the week. Highly recommend ? ? ?

Best fried seafood I've had in a long time and the portions are very generous will definitely go again next time I'm in the area!
Dont judge the 1 and 2 start as negative at this point. Yes it was filthy and food was not great. Went to Magoos because of good reviews I read. The owner was very nice and gave me free fries and haddock. I got home and started eating it and the fries were soggy and the fish was very salty and greasy. Im from the seacoast originally and have been driving by this hole in the wall place and had to try it. Sometimes their the best. I was th only person there so the food was cooked fresh but not sure why it was so salty. Im a fan of salt but this was overkill. Ended up throwing eveything out in the trash. I will try Magoos one more time just to see if it was an off day. It was nothing like Browns or Golden rod. Was hoping it was since it is so close.

We were so bummed….we pulled in to to be told the owner left to run errands.we drove a little distance to wait for 20 minutes and no one returned! Do we have to call first to make sure the owner is there?
