Pretty cool place to visit before you head up the mountain. Even if you don’t head up the mountain check this place out got a lot of cool souvenirs has a really nice bathroom and a little café and a little museum in the back plenty of parking and handicap accessible. It does have an elevator cause what they call the first floor or I would call the basement there’s more store. When you walk in, there’s a live video feed of the top of Mount Washington and you can get some tickets to go up in the Mount Washington auto Road own vans if you don’t wanna drive yourself up. Nancy was super friendly at the store. The souvenirs are not overpriced. They even had a 25% off discount. The parking lot is big and there is plenty of spots for motorcycles and cars, but RVs will probably have to park across the street at the entrance of the outer road. They have one of those telescopes I can see up to the top of Mount Washington, whether you plan on visiting the top of Mount Washington, or just driving by check out this free spot Even grab a snack
This was where we picked up our guided tour van to go up the Mt Washington Auto Road. Well stocked gift shop, nice museum in the red barn, food and clean restrooms. Great views from the base of the mountain. You can smell the balsam from the gift shop as soon as you walk in 😉
Electric Vehicle charging station: 4 stalls, level 2, J1772. Pricing is time/session based. Prices will vary, but see below for 6/8/25 prices.
Great place to stop in … originally just to cruise and check out the gift shop. We were treated with the pleasure to meet Nancy. What was originally supposed to be a 3 minute stop became a stop filled with conversation and history about Mt.Washington- a special shoutout to Nancy for being exceptionally kind to me and 2 of my buddies giving us the scoop of what is the spectacular Mt. Washington- we will definitely be returning to explore all it has to offer !
This little market has everything you would need and is very clean and well organized. It's my favorite place to stock up on food and snacks when I'm in the notch area.
Great place to stop and take in the view.
Not as pictured. No tables and chairs. No longer make sandwiches. Refrigerator case with a few items, drinks. Candy and chips. But very friendly cashier!

Went to mound lot Washington auto road and stopped here for a quick lunch . Quality of food was awesome . Onion soup was good . Tasted good .. also had egg sandwich and veggie burger . Both tasted good and fresh .. kids liked the cheese pizza and fries. Service was also quick and priced right . We loved it overall. Thumbs up ..
Pretty nice place with great views, museum and gift shop. Unfortunately they close at around 5PM i think. The food is not pricey.
Food was very good
Awesome breakfast sandwiches and wonderful mountain views
This cafe is a good place to eat before or after your activity in the area. The eating area is large and clean with many tables and outstanding mountain and valley views. The food is like a cafeteria line with some items being self-serve and some items being ordered from the counter. I asked the staff if the pizza was good and they answered, "Good enough." I ordered a large cheese pizza and shared with with the three kids in my group, all of us concluding the pizza was indeed good considering we were at a mountain snack bar of sorts, not a pizzeria in Italy. I also saw a couple good looking sandwiches ordered by other people. There are drinks and sweets also and prices are reasonable. There isn't much else around if you don't want to leave the amazing location. Overall we had a positive eating experience with extraordinary views.
