Pretty cool place to visit before you head up the mountain. Even if you don’t head up the mountain check this place out got a lot of cool souvenirs has a really nice bathroom and a little café and a little museum in the back plenty of parking and handicap accessible. It does have an elevator cause what they call the first floor or I would call the basement there’s more store. This was where we picked up our guided tour van to go up the Mt Washington Auto Road. Well stocked gift shop, nice museum in the red barn, food and clean restrooms. Great views from the base of the mountain. You can smell the balsam from the gift shop as soon as you walk in 😉
Great place to stop in … originally just to cruise and check out the gift shop. We were treated with the pleasure to meet Nancy. What was originally supposed to be a 3 minute stop became a stop filled with conversation and history about Mt.Washington- a special shoutout to Nancy for being exceptionally kind to me and 2 of my buddies giving us the scoop of what is the spectacular Mt. Washington- we will definitely be returning to explore all it has to offer !
