Sadly there are no signs, etc to warn you that the trip to visit this highly rated restaurant is a waste of time

SAalt Pub and Libbys is selling only take out picnic boxes these days. The boxes cost a small fortune and are not worth it. There was a long line line when we picked up our box. The staff was flustered and disorganized. The order was wrong, the boxes we ordered had been sitting out a long time, and all of the food had gone stone cold and soggy. The nutty chicken, now cold, was laden with oil and tasteless, the flourless chocolate cake was just a pile of large meringues with chocolate sauce on the side. The peach cake was more like a fallen muffin than any kind of cake - definitely not layer cake. There were no napkins or plastic utensils included for the price, which was $145.00 US for the dinners with sides and the desserts. There was a nice ribbon on the boxes, but we could have done without this for abetter meal and better pick up experience. If every local pizza place can get this right, why not this supposedly good restaurant? Altogether a disaster of meal from an over-rated restaurant which still is confused about how to operate during this pandemic.

Liz and her team provided my family and friends with the most beautiful rehearsal dinner in her garden. Liz created the most delicious south East Asian themed dinner and was able to accommodate my guests under her tent. I am still dreaming of the combination of flavors and complexity of her dishes. Growing up, we went to her restaurants often and it’s where I have fond memories of gathering with my family and grandparents. Her storefront and restaurant are a big pillar in the gorham community and draw tourists into the small mountain town. I look forward to going up north every summer and hope Liz has restaurants up there forever! Can’t wait until next time. Thank you, Liz!

We discovered this gem a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. The food, cocktails & wine, staff and, especially the owners, Liz and Stephen, are fantastic! Highly recommend trying everything you can, obviously over multiple trips! Not a place for a picky eater. Be adventurous!

We had reservations months in advance but restaurant closed a few days. At least management could have called custmers to advise rather than having us show up on a Friday a 6:30.

our friends who spend every summer in Randolph described Saalt as "the only good restaurant in Gorham" but we were still not expecting that much, given that McDonald's and a couple of pizza places seemed like the only competition. our dinner was wonderful from start to finish. interesting menu, great flavors, and wonderful service.

SAalt is a must whenever I come up to Gorham for the wknd .I enjoy absolutely every aspect of dining here from the craft quality cocktails to the eclectic dishes offered that incorporates tastes from around the world whether it's light & refreshing or hearty and savory. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is no parking lot but on street parking is available and it's also within walking distance from some of the overnight accommodations in town. It's very satisfying when the cocktails and food are equally as good as another and gives you the perfect dining experience.

Beautiful outdoor ambience! The cocktails are incredible. The menu is eclectic. It seems like the Italian inspired meals were the most popular. The fries are a must as well. The truffle is on point.

This was a wonderful surprise. I was lucky enough to get seated at the bar. The restaurant was completely booked up. The setting was outside. At the bar I met the most wonderful people and we all talked and enjoyed our meals.I tried the meatloaf melt. The portion was huge. Big enough for 2 people. The people next to me raved about it. Although it wasn't the best meal for me, the left overs I brought home were raved about. The bar tender for some reason ignored me and it was difficult to get her attention despite her being in close proximity the entire time. All in all I loved being there and meeting all the wonderful people was a great experience.

This is a restaurant that would compete anywhere - Boston, Portland, ME, etc. .l....but without any fuss. The flavors and plates are amazing and the service is impeccable. Non-pretentious and absolutely designed with love, the menu is exceptional and the desserts are not to be missed. I had the South of France Salad and Salmon and my friend had the absolutely amazing gulf of mexico wild caught shrimp and then the pho. Desert was a flourless chocolate cake and I had the ginger and lemon cookie - I have never had anything more delicious! Make the trip today and treat yourself to this treasure! Smart casual dress and reasonable prices.

One of our nicest meals on our East Coast road trip. We were very lucky to score the last reservation they had open that day. Indoor dining was not available, but all the better. We sat in a lovely whimsical patio area. Service was excellent, drinks were good, and the meal was very tasty, with some great options. Farm to table is the way to go! You could tell this was a labor of love. So glad we got in.

Cool vibe and great food. We had the Mediterranean bread plate starter, the fried chicken platter (shown), the duck gnocchi, and the Cambodian noodles, followed by flourless chocolate cake, accompanied by local craft beers. Portions are generous and the food absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey and you need reservations, but a great place to go for a special night out.

Stopped into Saalt & Libby’s for dinner last night and had a fantastic meal and exceptional service. Everyone we interacted with was engaging, attentive and fun. Cocktails were top notch and the food was fresh and delicious. The menu is creative and eclectic and with three of us, we had quite an array. Dessert was wonderful as well and a single dessert easily could have fed two. It is a GREAT option if you’re looking to dine in Gorham. We are already looking forward to returning. My only wish is we had made it there before now!
