It was only my second time there last night, but they made me feel like I was part of the family. The food and service were both excellent. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, if you haven’t been, please go here the next time you go out to dinner. You won’t be disappointe!

Love is food and food is love! Authentic homemade Italian food. Felt like I had Sunday dinner with Family.

An excellent choice. One of our party was just out of hospital and mother and chef son went out of their way to adapt a recipe accordingly; they were very understanding and kind. The others had a feast! Very highly recommended.

The restaurant was super cute and homey. We went in without a reservation and were able to be sat down right away. Service was spectacular and the food was amazing. I honestly can’t describe how delicious it was, it tasted very authentic.

I’m visiting from out of town & heard Nonna’s was the best place to get pizza. So this evening, I went & got a pizza. When I walked out the door, I dropped the pizza in the middle of the street! I went back inside and asked if they could make me another pizza & that I would pay for it since it was my fault. The owner said it was on the house & she wouldn’t take my money. This is a cute place that I’d love to come back to for the authentic ambiance. Thank you, Nona! P.s. The young woman who waited on me was juggling 10 things at once with ease. She was friendly & professional.

Such excellent food and service. A little pricey so I typically come here only on special occasions. But it is a fabulous restaurant with great dishes and friendly staff. Very fancy on the inside. Reminds me of my time visiting Italy.

I hesitate to mention just how good Nonna's is...I want to keep it a secret! The restaurant is in what was an old boarding house for logging workers, then a 2 chair barber shop. It is small, quiet and perfect for a relaxing meal. The service was impeccable and the food is all freshly made, including the pasta. The recipes are all handed down through the family and the quality and taste are fantastic. After a long day of sightseeing it was just what we needed. I thought I made a pretty good veal picatta, I know better now.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend you sit yourself down and enjoy real Italian dining.

Charming place but the food was disappointing. I had the lasagna with a meatball and my husband had the casserole di frutti di mare. The scallops and haddock were good. The shrimp was overcooked and dried out. The portions were small for the price. The potatoes were very small and dry. For an additional $5, he got the salad which consisted of a few pieces of lettuce, one tomato, one cucumber, 2 olives. The lasagna was okay but I felt I got more sauce than lasagna. The meatball was cold. My salad was also very tiny. Overall, not worth the $100+ we paid.

The lasagna was arguably the best I have ever had, and the staff falls all over themselves taking care of you. The veal marsala with linguini was a major disappointment. The marsala sauce was good, but there was almost none of it on my plate. It was like eating linguini with no flavoring or sauce. The veal had very little taste, but that could have bern offset with more sauce. The bread, served hot, was very good. It strikes me as the type of place you would go back to once you figure which dishes to order and which ones to avoid, but we were out of towners relying on reviews like this one.

We were greeted promptly and the service was very good. I had the Casseruola Di Frutti Di Mare and for the price, $30, it was a very small portion. The scallops and with fish were perfectly cooked and flavorful but the shrimp were overcooked and chewy. The add on salad for $5 was decent but super small. The wife had the Lasagna. It was good but not many layers and small. The additional meatball was cold. The wife’s salad was also extremely small. I had the house Cabernet Sauvignon which was decent and the wife had a cocktail. Overall disappointed especially with all the good reviews.

What a quaint little family owned/operated restaurant! It operates out of a converted house so you get a cozy, homey atmosphere. You get authentic Italian cuisine which is absolutely delicious! The entire staff is friendly! I highly recommend you stop in when you are in the area!

I recommend you eat in the restaurant for the best experience. The food is phenomenal! Takeout is not ideal but since we only got a pizza they waived the takeout fee trying to make it right. Also make sure to check your receipt as they automatically add 20% gratuity even on takeout orders. Last but not least pay with cash.

What a fantastic meal. We were in the area visiting family and searched Google for a good restaurant. This came up. It's a must stop. It's family owned, freshly cooked. Served with a smile. We would make to drive from the Hartford area just to have another meal here.
