Liz and her team provided my family and friends with the most beautiful rehearsal dinner in her garden. Liz created the most delicious south East Asian themed dinner and was able to accommodate my guests under her tent. I am still dreaming of the combination of flavors and complexity of her dishes. Growing up, we went to her restaurants often and it’s where I have fond memories of gathering with my family and grandparents. Her storefront and restaurant are a big pillar in the gorham community and draw tourists into the small mountain town. I look forward to going up north every summer and hope Liz has restaurants up there forever! Can’t wait until next time. Thank you, Liz!
Eclectic cuisine. Food was imaginative and very well done. If you are looking for some place that is different I would recommend you give the SAaLT PUB a try
SAalt Pub and Libbys is selling only take out picnic boxes these days. The boxes cost a small fortune and are not worth it. There was a long line line when we picked up our box. The staff was flustered and disorganized. The order was wrong, the boxes we ordered had been sitting out a long time, and all of the food had gone stone cold and soggy. The nutty chicken, now cold, was laden with oil and tasteless, the flourless chocolate cake was just a pile of large meringues with chocolate sauce on the side. The peach cake was more like a fallen muffin than any kind of cake - definitely not layer cake. There were no napkins or plastic untesils included for the price, which was $145.00 US for the dinners with sides and the desserts. There was a nice ribbon on the boxes, but we could have done without this for abetter meal and better pick up experience. If every local pizza place can get this right, why not this supposedly good restaurant? Altogether a disaster of meal from an over-rated restaurant which still is confused about how to operate during this pandemic.
Exceptional food. Fresh and varied ingredients. A gem in the White Mountains. Not cheap but worth it for the quality if you want to spend a little more.
Best Caesar salad ever! Best fish and vegetables ever! Great iced tea!
We were able to sneak in here without a reservation just as they opened on a Saturday! We enjoyed just about everything we ordered and all the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend the scallops and old fashion!
Beautiful outdoor ambience! The cocktails are incredible. The menu is eclectic. It seems like the Italian inspired meals were the most popular. The fries are a must as well. The truffle is on point.
SAalt is a must whenever I come up to Gorham for the wknd .I enjoy absolutely every aspect of dining here from the craft quality cocktails to the eclectic dishes offered that incorporates tastes from around the world whether it's light & refreshing or hearty and savory. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is no parking lot but on street parking is available and it's also within walking distance from some of the overnight accommodations in town. It's very satisfying when the cocktails and food are equally as good as another and gives you the perfect dining experience.
This was a wonderful surprise. I was lucky enough to get seated at the bar. The restaurant was completely booked up. The setting was outside. At the bar I met the most wonderful people and we all talked and enjoyed our meals.I tried the meatloaf melt. The portion was huge. Big enough for 2 people. The people next to me raved about it. Although it wasn't the best meal for me, the left overs I brought home were raved about. The bar tender for some reason ignored me and it was difficult to get her attention despite her being in close proximity the entire time. All in all I loved being there and meeting all the wonderful people was a great experience.
Cool vibe and great food. We had the Mediterranean bread plate starter, the fried chicken platter (shown), the duck gnocchi, and the Cambodian noodles, followed by flourless chocolate cake, accompanied by local craft beers. Portions are generous and the food absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey and you need reservations, but a great place to go for a special night out.

Excellent dining experience! We were fortunate enough to get a reservation on a Saturday night in June for this highly sought after restaurant. We’re so glad we did!The outdoor dining area was spacious and pleasant. The ambience was very romantic. We both started with the house margarita special. They were delicious; no store- bought mixer here! The southern French salad was big enough to share, beautiful, and delicious. My dining companion had the duck ragu with incredible homemade gnocchi.I had the summer Spanish steak which was cooked perfectly to order and also delicious. The stuffed peppers that accompanied the steak were also amazing.Although the dessert menu was very tempting, we were too full to partake. The next time we are visiting Gorham, we will make sure to try to visit again.
This place is the best restaurant in Gorham! Okay I know that’s not saying much. But seriously, the ambience was incredible, and the steak salad my girlfriend ordered gave me major fomo, even though I ended up eating half of it. Although the meat was amazing, every vegetable was also bursting with flavor, and not just because it’s drowned in butter like how I do it at home. I’d drive a full half hour out of my way to eat there again and that’s a lot because I’m pretty lazy. I would have included food photos but I couldn’t stop eating them, the ice cream dessert cookies were also top notch and great wine and beer selection. Ten stars!
The ambiance outside is very nice for dining. The food is good but some dishes are bit spicy. The cocktails are great. The music is at a comfortable sound level. Love the music.
Delicious and convenient. They offer only takeout, but they have a tent with heaters in back where you can eat and drink. We had the Brussels sprouts, squash salad, and Cambodian noodles, with a Sapsucker and a Maple No. 2 to drink. Some assembly required, but everything was unique and tasty. We'll go again.
Excellent food and relaxing attractive decor. After a long day hiking, a flavorful mill that's light but filling hits the spot. The fried chicken with middle eastern rice and beans was especially good.
