I've been to Jameson several times and each time I've had a different experience. There have been some really good experiences and then there have been some poor experiences. The most recent visit I sat at the bar and I got steak tips mashed potatoes and asparagus which were really delicious. I got one of the new cocktails a plum martini and it was really good considering the bartender had never really made it the bartender was exceptional she was really friendly and upbeat and attentive. The only thing that was negative about this visit was the smell period for whatever reason there is a smell that comes from the back area of the restaurant where the rug is. It reminds me of a nursing home. There is sadly a sort of urine odor and it leaks into the space with the bar. Typically when I go to a restaurant I want to smell the delicious Aromas of the food. And I can't smell any food when I go there. So that is really off-putting. Another time I went with my friend and we got a cocktail that tasted really bad really bitter and even when I asked the waitress to fix it it came back still tasting bad. The food wasn't great. The whipped ricotta was not enjoyable and our waitress was not very attentive or upbeat period it was an overall poor experience. Another visit I went by myself said at the bar and I got the mac and cheese which was phenomenal. But again it's that smell that makes the experience poor. If they could fix that smell this would be a much better restaurant. The prices are pretty high as well but for the mac and cheese and the steak tips at least I would say they're worth it because they are very good. Some of the meals were not worth it. I guess it depends what you get and when you go who's the cook and who's waitressing. It's unfortunate that the experiences aren't consistent

We always head for the tavern, always great, friendly service. We gave the food a 4 star only because of cost. Prices seem to have exploded upwards. We have always had great food, great atmosphere and great service! Also, wish they had Trulys :(

Everything, from the welcoming staff, our choice of seating (choosing their deck on a beautiful evening), with our attentive server and above all the fabulous food, especially the lobster mac-n-cheese, everything added up for a wonderful evening at Jamison's! I had to return the lobster bisque because it was too sweet. 3 other people at my table agreed with me. It was even too sweet for a child. But other than that, the others enjoyed a variety of hamburgers and pizza. The tuna tower and water melon salad was also delicious. We enjoyed the wide variety of choices which satisfied all diners. The server was excellent. The marinis perfect.
The dining room menu is fabulous, compliments to the chef. Really enjoyed the blackened halibut over coconut rice. Friendly, attentive service from Ella.. bravo all round!

For hampstead this is as good as it gets. The food is great and service is lovely. A good meal for a decent price! Plus it’s decorated all cute for Christmas. 🤶🏽 get reservations on the weekend. It’s always busy.

Place was great early on and even through Covid. Recently prices spiked and food prep went down a notch. Seems like they’re more picky with their waiter/waitress selection than quality of their chefs. Polished concrete floor just makes it way too loud to have a descent conversation, especially when you have a table full of over-served knuckleheads next to you.
And as a reviewer mentioned below, they way over-salt. The batter on the calamari was so over-salted to the point we couldn’t even eat it. I also had the halibut recently and it was way overcooked and way over-salted. They need more quality control coming out of the kitchen.
