Went here with my son last night on a mission to find a good steak. Ambience was lovely, service was fine, the steak was awful. I got the cowboy steak (for $56!) and it was spiced with some horrendous sweet over the top smokehouse seasoning. Same with the potatoes that came with it. The seasoning made it hardly edible. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well at best and the consistency of the meat was bizarre. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my son otherwise I would have sent it back. My son got the steak frites which was marginally better. The best part of both meals was the shoestring fries.

I used to come here when it was Bonta many years ago and always had an excellent dining experience. This was my second time trying CRs and both times have been a serious disappointment. The first time we ordered shrimp cocktail and the restaurant was out of horseradish, so we had to eat shrimp with ketchup 🤣

Bummed!

The food was great once it arrived. The whole meal took 3 hours and very minimal attention from the server. Disappointed in the attention to details given their perceived quality and actual cost.

Food and service was very good, but the liquor was $10 for what looked like three tablespoons. New menu's prices appear to be higher, but I don't mind paying a bit more because I know they're paying more for their produce, etc. But the booze???!

We were a party of 8. Wonderful quiet table for conversation. Meals were all delicious, short ribs, pork schnitzel, salmon and cheesecake. Service was excellent. Hope to be back soon !

Went for a private event. Delicious food!

There was a time when CRs was our favorite restaurant, and we went often. Then the food became uninspired so we kept going back hoping it was going to be better the next time. But it hasn't been. There's nothing wrong with the food, but there's nothing special about it. For the prices being charged, we keep hoping for more flavor, better presentation, more choice. But we will probably wait a long time before we try it yet again.

Everything was really good, but i'm always disappointed when I get a steak from a upperclass restaurant and have to send it back because it's under or overcooked.

We were celebrating an anniversary, this restaurant was subtlety elegant. Nothing pretentious. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff that made you feel instantly welcomed. The food was incredibly delicious, with ample portions. Cooked to perfection. The waitstaff genuinely friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed this evening, and highly recommend making a trip here. You will not be disappointed.

Good and service were great! The love music however was overpowering in its volume (and we're only in our 30s) as the two musicians were playing over a karaoke track. Can't wait to go back but would avoid going when there's live music.

Outstanding hidden gem. Menu, food, ambiance and especially the service stand out for us. We have dined at CR's many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed, A perfect spot for a nice quiet dinner for two, CR's is also a great spot for a larger group (four or more) to gather to catch up on recent happenings or to reminisce about the good old times. Plenty of menu choices, complete with suggested pairings. Service is A+ from the initial greeting, through the meal and as you leave.

I bought my parents a gift card to CR’s for Christmas because they’ve always loved going there. They were so excited for a nice night out, which doesn’t happen often anymore due to my father’s illness. Unfortunately, their experience ended up being very disappointing.

After finishing their meal, they presented their gift card, only to be told it couldn’t be accepted that evening. This was especially frustrating because no one mentioned it beforehand — not when they were seated, not when they ordered, and there were no signs or notices to let guests know. If there are times when gift cards aren’t accepted, that’s understandable, but it’s something that should be clearly communicated upfront — whether by a posted sign, during reservations, or by the server before ordering.

What made it worse is that nothing was done to make the situation right. For a restaurant that’s considered one of the nicer spots in the area, this kind of oversight — and lack of care for elderly guests — reflects very poorly on the establishment. I genuinely hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and customer care going forward.

Food is excellent. I'm gluten free and was impressed by how many items were listed as GF. However, upon closer inspection, the items they were served with were NOT GF. this was disappointing and deceiving. I was able to choose other sides but just a word of caution to others.

Made a last minute reservation, and the staff were extremely warm and friendly. Our server, Janice, was cheerful, personable, and accommodating. We had the steak frites (rare) and Scottish salmon; perfectly executed dishes (steak temp was perfect and salmon was crispy skin with tender flesh) with well-paired sides (flavor profiles were excellent). Couldn't have asked for a better relaxing experience before our concert (ha!). Will definitely be back when we are out that way again!

Our waiter Nolan was perfect, nice suggestions for us, attentive and personal. Great night out with fun service.
