Went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was phenomenal. We've been there many times and while we've had many good meals, this past week was a cut above. All meals were beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and delicious. AP many interesting and unique flavors. We went deep on the appetizers. The fried artichokes, and the wagyu meatballs were both a wonderful start, but it was the Tater tots took 1st prize on the apps. Dinner entries were great. Steak, salmon and fish special were all fabulous. And the pear cobbler was a perfect finish. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Birthday dinner, huge success! The wedge and strawberry burrata salads were delish. We each had a different entree (pork roast , chicken piccata , steak tenderloin and NY strip) and they and their sides were all amazing. Fantastic wine selection. Our bottle of French Pinot Noir was incredible. Our server was very accommodating and courteous.

Have always thought CR's was one of nicest Restaurants in the area, always look to go here for a Special night out. Our experience last weekend was not good. Server was very good and attentive but felt he was embarrassed for us. Firstly my wife ordered Oyster Florentine which she did not realize came on a bed of rock salt. She has a spoon full and it ruined her meal. Manager came and apologized and said we should have been made aware and she would remove from our bill. It was not as she never told the server so she has to check and resolve. Also menu stated 2019 J Lohr Cabernet Sav When we drank the wine we did not think it was anything special but then noticed on the bottle it was 2021 that you can often get for $14 from Liquor store. Overall experience was very disappointing Wished we stayed home!

Great evening ,our meals were superb and cooked to perfection , the staff was very friendly and accommodating, Hats off to Chris , he is very professional and friendly, checking in multiple times to see if we needed anything , and very personable. Missed seeing Chuck , next time! CR'S Thank you for a great evening , Mark

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Such a beautiful comfortable place. Service is above average. Food selection and food quality is always excellent. The cost is on par for your dining experience.

When going to this area of New Hampshire I always stay at the SpringHill Suites across the street from this restaurant. Finally trying the CR’s I had a decent experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant being at the bar and listening to the Live music. The drinks were delicious and the bartender was very friendly. The food was alittle bland. I had the octopus for an appetizer, which was not seasoned and tasted like rubber. Then for my main course the Duck, which for the price wasn’t up to par. I will come back to the restaurant for the drinks and desserts.

CR’s is one of our most favored restaurants. Beautiful, lush interior and dimmed lighting make for great ambiance. Thursday nights experience was a bit off for us. We were happy to have Lisa for our server. A loyal employee there some 9 years. We shared two sautéed crab cakes and Oyster Rockefeller. The delivery person failed to inform us the oysters were atop rock salt and not bread crumbs as we thought, soon spitting out the briny substance. The crab cakes were generous, lump and delicious. The arugula side was good. It took awhile for the Crispy Salmon to arrive. That’s fine, it was a special occasion and we were in no hurry. It was nicely cooked atop fried slabs of polenta, the zucchini pasta and sautéed tomatoes, all worked together well. The Chicken Piccata was nicely sautéed but lacked the proper butter/lemon ratio. It cried for lemon flavor. Strawberry Shortcake completed our dining experience. It was an off-night but we love the place and will return again.

Good food. Nice atmosphere and good drinks but dinner is a bit pricey for what you get.

My partner had a perfectly cooked slab of very tasty and succulent prime rib, and I had some of the most flavorful, tender duck breast I've had. Well-priced for the high quality and portion size. My partner suggested that we get a booth for privacy and conversation... good call. The place was packed, and for good reason.

Chris was our server and was courteous and kept a watch over our time without constantly checking. He had a sense of when we wanted his assistance. Food was prepared perfectly. I had the beef tenderloin and my wife had the scallops. Favorite restaurant in Hampton.

We'd received many recommendations. This was our first time here. The ambiance was cozy, warm with nice and tasteful decor. The food was amazing. The noise level really took away the enjoyment though. We were near the bar and almost had to shout to hear each other. The music was not even that good...just noise. We remembered restaurant experiences in Europe where the setting was peaceful and somewhat quiet and relaxing. Great restaurants like the Ritz grill in Boston....its quiet! It was so cheesy to have loud mediocre music right beside an elegant dining experience. A bar experience is so different from an elegant dining experience. If we had wanted noise, drinking, loud music, we would have gone to a bar. We'd love to hear of your reasoning to combine the two. Not sure if we'll return

Every year we go to this restaurant to celebrate Valentines Day and the food is always delicious. I'm not sure what has changed but the quality of the food wasn't as expected. I ordered the pork tenderloin, and it was dry, the carrots were burnt. My guest ordered Salmon which she rated it a 7. I'm going to caulk it up to every restaurant has a bad day and I hope next year's Valentine's dinner is exceptional as the years past.

This will be my last visit to CR's. My review is like most 1 star reviews in the past month that you'll see on here. The food, so so. Calamari overcooked, steak not so medium rare. It also took forever to get a drink to our table. We were at the restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Our waiter was so slow and whispered when he talked, which wasn't often. By the way Mr. CR, I visited your establishment 2 to 3 times a month and drove from 40 minutes away to do so. My biggest reason for never coming back. My wife made reservations for a booth 3 weeks prior to our night out. The two gentlemen that were the host, who looked so confused all night, put us in at a small table. There was a booth open first on the left when you walk in. I asked about the booth, and he said it was for a 7:30 reservation. Just as everyone else on here talks about it was held for a few regulars in their 90's. That is who takes president in your restaurant, not that you don't already know that. Never an apology from the guy at the host table, boy was he thick. Wish you well, but the one-star reviews keep pouring in on you, and you never respond back. Must be nice.
