Never surprised with the food being wonderful. Our server was great!! Vibe was great! We will be back!!
I had business associates meet me for a dinner meeting - the food was excellent, as was the service. Our server, Emily, was attentive without being intrusive, and met all our needs, even with dietary restrictions. Thank you, Galley Hatch, for maintaining excellent standards on all levels!
We visited Galley Hatch Restaurant last night and enjoyed great service, a quiet, cozy space and really good food! We enjoyed some nice soft white and wheat dinner rolls to start. My husband had steak that was cooked perfectly and nicely grilled. I ordered the fish tacos, which featured perfectly cooked fish in a soft taco. Seasonings were perfect for the taco and the pieces of fish were large. The tomato rice with black beans was really good! In short, we will be back!
The service is always fantastic here. The menu has an incredible variety of selections. Can't say I've ever had a bad meal here. And the gift shop is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Food was excellent, our Prime rib and Salmon was delicious. We went early so the noise level was great also.
We asked for a quiet table and were shown to a table out of the way. My only problem was that the restaurant was a bit chilly. The service was excellent. My husband had the bbq chicken pizza and I ordered the baked haddock with squash and coleslaw. The food was delicious except the coleslaw which was surprisingly spicy. We will definitely return.
Galley Hatch is a go to. Liked our server. Didn't love my lunch selection but almost always do, so won't stop me from returning.
Excellent food.Cozy booth.Entire place exudes warmth and hospitality .Our waitress "Emily" was warm and cheerful and a great server. .We loved the calamari!Fish Taco was also great. We finished off with ice cream oreo cookie pie topped with Kahlua !Wonderful dining experience. Will be going back soon!Kudos also to Hostess Peg for reserving us a great table!
So glad this restaurant has survived, bringing old school New England charm into modern day dining. Always reliable and delicious. Great options, friendly staff, and a candle and a song with a free slice of cake for a birthday celebration. What could be better??
Ordered the expensive baked stuffed lobster stuffed with “Seafood Stuffing” which amounted to a slimy blob of wet bread crumbs, very low quality baby shrimp that tasted horrible mixed with some mystery white fish that was supposed to be scallops ... We had this same dish last year and it was amazing... new cook needs to pay attention!! Will not return for this meal again! Major disappointment money wise and pallet wise! I gave it three stars because the lobster was okay.

We had a reservation, and in the reservation i mentioned that it was a 91st birthday and asked if we could get a birthday dessert. Nothing was said, and it seemed the info was not passed along. Would have been nice for mom to get acknowledged. Menu was expensive. Most enjoyed their meal, Newbury i was told was tasteless, and the garlic potatoes were not flavorfull
We enjoy The Galley Hatch fairly often. The food is consistently good and the servers friendly and attentive. The holiday decor is lovely and tasteful.
We had dinner here on a Sunday night and it was quite busy, but calm at the same time. We had Cory as our server and she did a great job from start to finish. The food was cooked to perfection. I had the special of Veal Parmigiana and it was crisp on the edges and super tender in the center. Perfect! We want to try this again in the near future!
I have not been to the Galley Hatch in over 28 years. The food and service were excellent....i won't wait long to go back! Try this restaurant.
A good lunch, especially where other local restaurants were all packed for Veteran's Day. I got the fisherman's platter. The food was good, the portion was small for $39 (it was $35 or $39.) I didn't get fries, which makes the portion size look smaller in a fried seafood platter, so you see what you really get ;) The wife got the chicken parm and she enjoyed it. Desserts were also good. The staff was nice, took a bit to get the check but nothing crazy. We've been a few times and will be back.
