We dined at Hagans on Saturday night, early. Reception was excellent. The server struck a terrific balance between friendliness and professionalism. My wife had the bakery, followed by a Caesar salad with chicken. The cheese was good, the raspberry sauce was terrific. There was plenty of salad and plenty of chicken to go with it. I had a Caesar to start and the salmon as a main course. I was disappointed by the Caesars in that the lettuce Had been standing around for long enough to begin to be rusty at the edges of the stems. But both my wife's chicken and my salmon were cooked correctly served hot and there was plenty of them. I should also mention the wine list because the price points and selections were very good. I had a Portuguese red called silk and spice, which is a terrific value red wine. Or overall experience was good and we'll be back.

Never had a bad meal here. Their food is amazing. Menu changes with the seasons but always cooked delicious food.

Pan seared cod was poached. Not pan seared.

Great local place! On OpenTable it only shows low tables in the "function room", but it's actually part of the restaurant, and is actually a little quieter because it's further from the bar.

Food and service both excellent only minor comment is portions could be a little larger. Otherwise we both loved our dishes the swordfish special and streak au poivre. Good Manhattan too!

The short ribs and scallop fra diavlo were excellent. We sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. We will definitely visit again soon.

We were there early before 6pm Friday. Decided to sit at the bar. Bartenders are really friendly, made a great old fashion. The mussels came out fast and were delicious. My wife had short rib, I had scallops fra diavolo both were delicious. Will return in the future.

We had a great experience with our girls night out. We were looking for a restaurant central to Dover and Newburyport with cool ambience and good food and drinks. Hagan's was perfect. We sat at a high top table in a comfortable spot. Their cocktail selection was nice especially the Martini menu. Appetizers and all of our entrées were delicious. Excellent service too.

Always enjoy coming here In recent months have found the menu seems somewhat limited Today only one special “ Chicken Fried steak but to be fair it was a Tuesday evening Service was very good.

We have dined here occasionally over the years and have always been very satisfied. Last night it was just okay. The room was very cold (temperature wise). Our server was good overall but made a few comments that she should not have. For example, my daughter ordered a burger with a few things on the side, and our server commented “our cook loves high maintenance people like you”. Three of our meals were excellent, but two of my kids ordered medium cooked burgers and the middle was raw hamburger. They took them back to the kitchen and 15 minutes later they came back out cooked slightly more but still very rare. So not horrible, but not as good as we have come to expect from Hagan's.

We went specifically for the Tuesday special of Country Fried Chicken with sausage gravy, mashed potatoes and asparagus and we are SO glad that we did!! It was absolutely delicious!! Our server, Molly, was fantastic, very attentive and friendly. Everything at Hagan's is wonderful, but this is my new favorite dish.

We went here for dinner on New Year's Eve. On our way to our reservation, which we had made over a month ago, we got a call. It's the host of the restaurant asking my wife if she knew how long we might be so she could squeeze someone in after us who was trying to get in at the last minute. When we told our waitress this, she was mortified. She responded, "how rude." No manager ever came by and asked us how our meal was, or asked about our ridiculous call that evening. Don't waste your time here, especially for the money. Zero personality from all staff with the exception of our waitress who had at least 10 plus tables, running around like crazy. So I can appreciate most of your answers but not the cover up about the call we got from the hostess. It wasn't a confirmation call as you stated we received, it was a call asking us how long it would take us. Maybe you didn't understand the way I explained it last time. If that's your procedure then you may want to look for a different approach, because that was flat out rude of her. Trust me your staff watched us walk out and not a word from anyone. I would never go back, thanks for the invite though.

Always great attentive service at Hagans. Food is usually very good but feel like some details are missed. I'd prefer if the Caesar salad had homemade croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Dressing was ok but did not taste homemade. Pork chop with sweet potato hash was excellent as always. Lasagna special was very good but not warm enough and for the price should have included a slice of garlic bread. We will continue to stop in love the ambience and familiarity.

We have been in the Seacoast for 25 years now and sometimes when our favorite restaurants are booked we end up going to Hagan's Grill in Hampton hoping it would be better and for the last 10-15 times we have been thoroughly disappointed. Seems like there is a new chef all the time but man this is a very average restaurant at best. For the prices they charge including the cost of bread that they charge for, I am sure you could do better. I'll go for drinks and perhaps an app but not for dinner. A total waste of money!
