Lack of communication is embarrassing
The food was brilliant. The servers were attentive and friendly. Such a great friendly happy atmosphere. Nicki went out of thier way to make our visit special.
Unfortunately when Lupe’s switched owners it went downhill. Full change of atmosphere and food quality. Prior owners were caring of their customers and employees and it was authentic. Now it’s a just a small notch above Taco Bell.
Since I can’t reply to the owners comment - let me edit my post and clarify that I indeed HAVE dined in there since the ownership changed which is exactly how i know the quality of food and service went downhill three years ago. Because the prior owners had a good rapport with customers doesnt make it a conflict. If you take over a business and keep the name, you should uphold those same business standards. Could it have gotten better last season? Sure. Do I want to find out? No. As for this review, it stays up.
The waitress Monica was amazing. Had a great time. Thank you.

My husband and I grabbed lunch here and it was amazing. Great beach view, great drinks and the food was amazing! I got the carne asada tacos and my husband got a burrito and both the burrito and tacos were chuck full. We would go back. And our server and host were very friendly.
My husband and I recently tried this Mexican restaurant while visiting Hampton. We’re not from the area, but we’d heard great things and wanted to check it out since we’ve enjoyed Mexican food in the past. The food was absolutely fantastic, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Adrian, was incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful. He patiently answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations. We left feeling so happy—not just because of the delicious food, but because of how well we were treated.
Our new Seacoast favorite for south-of-the-border style food...a hidden gem. The food and drinks were a perfect blend of creative and authentic and the atmosphere was a blend of casual and cool. Everything was a bit different from the ordinary. Chef owned and run with much attention to detail. Great tequila selection and a view of the ocean as a bonus.
We just went looking for some quick food at night and found this spot and eating here was a mistake. The food was more expensive than what we are used too, cold and not flavorful. For the sake of everyone else's mouth, I hope that our experience was an outlier.
Update: Respond to comment below. We there labor day weekend.

I only got the Mexican street corn but it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back for this. I tried to get something else but since they were closing for the season they didn’t have a whole lot still available. The staff was friendly.

Food was good. 4 stars because the queso was $4 and it felt more like $1-$2 plastic queso side cup (I got to go)

Very Good restaurant, excellent food. More of a pub/atmosphere. Drinks are great. No complaints whatsoever. Enjoy.
