Awesome experience tonight! Patio was packed and still the service was fantastic! Even better food!! They changed the menu to include Sheppards pie and meatloaf. Absolutely incredible! Can’t say enough about the service and new quality of the food!!! Please don’t go back to the old food!!! This is amazing! Will be back with friends . Beer was also incredible and server was so knowledgeable in the beer selection … made it so easy for me to find my favorite! Love this place!!!!

Nice place to go and have a beer outside.

Beer, food and atmosphere are always top notch. Thank you!

I visited this brewery during a recent trip from out of state and was initially impressed by the atmosphere. However, my experience was marred by the demeanor of the young lady behind the bar. She was notably rude and dismissive, which was disappointing given my frequent travels to various breweries where staff are typically friendly and accommodating. A brewery visit should be about enjoyment and a positive experience, and unfortunately, this location fell short in that regard.

World-class brewing style, facilities, setting, & staff. This brewery is on my must-visit list from now on when in this area.

Much better beer than Throwback

Visited August 12 from 2 to 4 PM. Beer was good, as were the wraps. But not one dog was actually leashed! About 5 or 6 dogs roamed the premises the entire time we were there. We had to shoosh them away continuously. Not cool!

If you're allergic to dogs or fearful for your personal safety, go elsewhere.

The location is quite pretty, but very expensive for a brewery ($9 pours, prices not posted). They also don’t post what hops are used in their beers (unusual for a brewery).

There are no brewery tours here. Visitors can come here and buy beers to try. I bought a full pour of one of their brews which tasted good. If visiting breweries is you thing, then check it out!

Out visiting some of the local breweries for our 30th Anniversary Adventures while we are staying at Hampton Beach and had a very nice stop at Smuttynose Brewing Company. My husband's the beer snob, so while he enjoyed some brews I enjoyed spending time petting the Brewery Mascott Willy. The plan was to stay for lunch, but an unexpected transformer fire on the adjacent road shut the restaurant down. So we will have to grab lunch during our next visit. Thanks for a delightful afternoon at the Brew House and some dog time!

Do not recommend...garden salad with 3 bite size steak tips for $26.00. Same for oriental salad with lacking chicken for $25.00. Do not mind paying for a good dinner but this was horrible and Smuttynose you should be ashamed of what you are serving for those prices.

Awesome day at your 30th anniversary!

Pros and cons at Smuttynose. Pros are the food is pretty good, the live music is always awesome, we love the outdoor area, and the walk up bar is very convenient. Drinks are good.

The cons are the executional elements. Crazy long wait times. People who sit at the limited outdoor tables for literally hours after they’re finished eating and not moving for new diners (to listen to the bands, so I get it but at some point you gotta move or be asked to move). Staff is mega hit or miss. We’ve had to go to the upper picnic tables a few times after hours long waits for tables and hungry toddlers. We’ve had staff who were amazing and let our kids get a basket of fries up there because it was way past their dinner time, and we’ve had staff flip out when asked and say if we even tried to bring food up there we’d be escorted out and not be allowed to return. Not even food for adults! Just some fries for 3 year olds. I mean hey, rules are rules but the being banned threat was excessive.

So overall Smuttynose is a good spot during off times or if you’re not trying to had dinner on Friday/Saturday nights.

I have loved Smuttynose beer for a while now, and most recently, I had the opportunity to stop and visit the brewery. This place did not disappoint! The beer was cold, crisp, and flavorful as usual. The food was top notch, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Large bar area, clean restrooms, beautiful grounds, and outdoor seating area. Food quality was a 10 out of 10. The batter on the fish was light, not greasy, and crispy. The Mac & Cheese was creamy, and perfectly cooked. The Chicken sandwich had so much flavor! This is a must go to brewery when in the area! Can't wait to stop in again!
