The only thing bad about this place is the parking lot. Fills up, but you don't know until you drive all the way in and then have to do a 7 point turn to get out!

There were 10 of us had a reservation first they said we might have to wait by the time they got the table ready for us 45 minutes later most of the meals came out they were all ice cold. Some stuff was on the meals. Some stuff wasn’t everything was screwed up by the time the meals came out took about 15 mins for all the meals to arrive Guess not a place for more then 4 people

Per recommendation from a friend we tried some of the food here. We are local so we have ordered several times since. Tonight I placed an order for pick up. We spent $55
The turkey on my turkey club was no good. I called and reported the problem and the gentleman put me on hold and a lady came to the phone. I explained to her the problem and she asked if she could put me on hold so she could go and speak with the cook. I was on hold for several minutes and then the call was disconnected. I called back and the gentleman said that the lady was busy and asked if he could take down my number so she could call me back.
I had my boyfriend bring the food back and got a refund. The lady never did call me back which I honestly find to be inconsiderate and unprofessional.
A customer gets bad food and you don’t care???? I get that it’s the beach and you make your money but you should care about the quality of the food that you are serving and the customers.

After reading many posts on the 401 Tavern in Hampton,NH, we decided to check it out and see for ourselves. On a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t very crowded, but we were warmly welcomed by our bartender/server Rob, who was friendly and helpful. Our drinks and meals were delicious, served fresh and hot. We were both very happy with our selection and our new restaurant destination. Located in downtown Hampton, give them a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how good it is!

Unfortunately I (we) will not be ordering take out again. Baked Haddock Sandwich NOTHING like it was. Prices absurd, Tartar sauce now liquid, the Bun soggy as hell. Terrible hard broccoli for our choice of veggies. Go there and drink and that’s all. $40 dollars for two sandwiches. Rip off for sure. The Old Salt is still the Best around here. Expensive now also however you can count on them for consistency and GREAT food.
Fisherman's basket wasn't the best the haddock was really good but clams and scallops weren't that good . The cole slaw had no flavor and tarter sauce was watery and horrible.

The onion rings were hands down the best ever. Sue our server was sweet. The chicken was a little overcooked for my taste but ok. The haddock sandwich was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend stopping in.
