I was a regular here for almost five years before the rebrand. There was a period where I used to eat here twice a week for lunch. I primarily ordered on the app and occasionally ordered in person. I don't think much has changed since the new owners took over. The food is affordable and comes out quickly when you order over the app. The quality is pretty consistent and the rewards program is good. There is one thing, however, that has prevented me from being a regular like before.
The lack of explicit, easy options (like the old elote style, modern mexican style, etc.) has been a big reason I haven't been back often. I recognize that in rebranding, the new owners likely cannot use the same ingredients and names that Boloco used to. Still, easy options help when I am tired and hungry during my short lunch break and want to order without thinking, whether that be on the app or in person. I don't want to punch in everything on the app or have to remember my order in a line with twenty other hungry people behind me rushing to get their food. When I had gone in after the rebrand, neither the menu nor food containers had labels saying what my choices were, so it also made it hard to tell in a rush what everything was. This was also made more difficult because some options that existed before the rebrand were no longer available.
My suggestion is to have a few basic bowls or burrito styles that can be ordered at a glance. It's standard practice at every other place I've been to that serves customizable bowls. Doing this would remove my reason for not returning often.

Doordashed a burrito from here. The original sized is huge, wanted to take a nap afterwards. So many options to add to it. The flavor is bold and right up front. You can instantly tell that it is all fresh and not frozen. Will definitely be ordering again when I get a craving. Highly recommend you check it out.

Short manager is rude. Dude needs to take a chill pill. Not sure why he was rushing me when there was literally no one in the store. Even the coworkers noticed as he walked away from me while I was asking him for more sauce. I've been coming here for 4 years and never experienced anything like that. Also his portions were ridiculously small. Let me know when he works so I know NOT to come in. I'm assuming he was the manager since his actions made his coworkers visibly uncomfortable!

A good place to grab a quick lunch. It is similar to Chipotle, where you go down the line and add things to a burrito, tacos, or a bowl. If you're in a real hurry, order ahead.

We love ordering from Boloco. The food is always excellent, the order, whether made online for pick up or in person is always spot on, and the service is friendly and polite. The restaurant is regularly clean and bright, despite being a downstairs location.

I came in around 4:00 on Thursday and ordered a steak burrito with all the fixins. Everything was super fresh besides the steak and the guac had a slight metallic taste to it. Better stored in plastic pans. The steak was cut a bit too large and was a little cold but everything else was amazing and super fresh. Young lady made my burrito just as I asked. Cashier was polite as well. I loved the free “charred cookie”. It was still yummy. All the hot sauces were perfect as well. Place was very clean. Also, please have cooks wash their hands before putting on gloves. Super important. As a professional chef it’s one of my most important concerns with my team. Some vegetarians or vegans may not want steak hands on their veggie bowl. Just a side note. I have observed this on many occasions.
