If I am ever back in Dartmouth, I would absolutely come back to this place. They are running a Spanish restaurant in the middle of New Hampshire—not an easy thing to do.I loved the atmosphere and the service was great.I would never hold up this restaurant to the standard of restaurants in Spain. However, I feel there is more that they can do in the kitchen to improve the food, even with local ingredients. They have something great going on, just need to keep working the kitchen.

Excellent service from the bartender/server. Sangria, is just okay, they are much more delicious in Madrid. The beef stew with peas and beans was my favorite tapas and I was surprised two $8.00 tapas filled me up. The fried eggplant dish was fried like potato chips, I'd suggest they get rid of that tapa or at least serve it with some Brava sauce. They have a hard-to-find location and that may be why we had 4 no-shows. I guess I was spoiled after two weeks in Madrid where the food was wonderful every place I went.

Found this gem last night and it's a definite keeper! Everything was excellent (and several dishes were better than my standby tapas places in DC). The flash friend eggplant with maple was *fantastic* as was the mashup of flan and bread pudding. What a gem in the upper valley. Don't miss it!

I had dinner at Duende Wednesday evening with a party of 6. We had most of the hot menu. The favorites were the eggplant chips, pork stew and brisket croquettes as well as their homemade sangria. They have a handful of unique gin and tonic cocktails as well. The crispy thinly sliced fried eggplant chips drizzled with maple syrup are surprisingly awesome. An unexpected treat! The stew might have wine in a thick sauce with a side of crunchy potatoes brava. Really hearty and tasty. You can even preorder paella when making reservations (ahead of time not available on menu). Hard to believe there are only like 3 people running this entire restaurant!! Be patient it's Spanish style - slower pace - ask when you need something and they will take care of it!! Highly recommend as long as Chef Adrianna and Boris are there.

Duende provides a fun mix of food from various Spanish regions in Tapas or Ración sizes. The inviting atmosphere helps make the pace feel cozy.

A fun spot for tapas in Hanover in a restaurant with a fun & relaxing vibe. Service is a bit interesting since you have to order from a counter, but the food options are great, whether its the cold plates or hot plates. My favorite was the croquettes and eggplant chips. None of the food wowed any of us but it all tasted fine and I'd definitely come back for the fun vibes and great atmosphere of the restaurant.

Really nice place in Hanover, I loved the Duende sandwich. Fun to do with friends. My dishes were delish but my vegetarian friends were wanting for some more variety in the non-meat options.Vegetarian options: Needs more veggie options. The eggplant was the best of the non-meat dishes

So after 10 hrs of driving we are in reach of this place before the listed kitchen closing at 8.... whoo hoo we arrive @ 7:35. But alas the kitchen is closed... so we ask you listed 8 and they say no its 7:45 the kitchen closes so we say it's 7:35 and they say we can serve you cold... and we leave never to return!

When I saw this spot was exactly like a real Spanish tapas bar, I mean it. You get the full experience.Go up to the bar to order? ✔️Olives and nuts available? ✔️Everything comes out as it's made? ✔️Spending at least 2 hours at a dinner table? ✔️THE BEST SANGRIA? ✔️Their food was mouth-watering and authentic. I thought their prices were really good too!Their patatas bravas were some of the best I have ever had!I highly recommend this spot!Parking: Street parking is free after 5 pm, and there was plenty of parking available on a Thursday night.Wheelchair accessibility: Duende is on the street level. There are a lot of brick areas, though, so care must be taken for wheelchair-bound patrons! They have a double-door to enter, and most of their tables are at wheelchair-level height.

Order at the bar. That is the tapas way. Also it is the way of fewer waiters.
