The service would have been higher and was through no fault of our server Zack, but they did not have enough staff for the amount of diners there. Sadly, that is the plight of most restaurants we visit. It is a great place to go and I highly recommend it. This was our first time there.

Everything was great except for our neighboring table. They were a bunch of young students. one of which was very loud and had a potty mouth.

We have been there a few times and it was good. Our dinners tonight were excellent both food and service. Chef Todd is doing a great job. Our waitress Amy was terrific.

when it's full this is a noise restaurant, but it was not full (December is a GREAT time to eat out in Hanover when the students are back at home) and so it was quiet. Each offering was very tasty, the wines are tasty and not overpriced (as restaurants go) and our server was cheerful and attentive.

The clams in the vermicelli were outstandingly fresh and tasty. The service was both friendly and not intrusive. It was surprising not to see more people there on a Saturday evening, but we visited at a time when Dartmouth College was already on Christmas break.

Excellent service: prompt taking orders, delivery of food, table attention. Food was all delicious. Gave us complimentary champagnes for our special dinner.

Dinner after the movies. Wanted to try a new place, so we picked this. WOW!! So happy we did. Impasto will probably be our go-to choice for dinner/movie night! Wonderful vibe to the place and fabulous food. Try it for sure!!

I had Alfredo with steak. The Alfredo was ok. The steak was excellent! The tiramisu was excellent too. The service was quick and polite.

A surprising number of vegan/vegetarian options. And really good food! A new go-to.

I went for the first time with two friends before a show at the nearby Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College. The location is perfect for a pre-show dinner as you can park once and walk to the Hop from Impasto. They take reservations which made it a seamless evening. The service was excellent from start to finish. The setting on the bottom floor was a little less formal and a bit noisy-but we were able to have conversation easily enough. We each had different entrees (steak, cod, oysters) and there were no leftovers to take home-it was too good and portions were just right! The polenta fries were new for us and everyone thought it was a nice change from regular fries etc. All in all I would recommend Impasta when in Hanover!

The food and service were outstanding. We had a large party reservation for homecoming weekend which kept growing in the days before our dinner. Each request for additional seating was generously accommodated by the restaurant. Our waiter, Zach, was friendly, fun and an excellent server. Everyone had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will add this as a regular stop each time we get to Hanover.

After trying a wide assortment of items from the menu here, if I could rate this place more stars, I would. We had the focaccia, the Antipasto plate , the clams casino pizza, penne alla vodka, clam fettuccine, and the shrimp arrabiata. All were incredible. They also have a great selection of wines, and as a bonus - all of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Be prepared that it's not cheap (at least for us who ate and drank our way through the menu), but it is worth it!
