Giving two stars for food as a precautionary rating. I don't know this restaurant other than from news that my cousins who were visiting from Utah and had just enjoyed a family meal here(10/14/25) got food positioning which laid them up for two days. Just reporting the facts ma'am.

It's definitely a unique place. I had the black and blue ribeye. 100% up there with one of the most tender steaks I've had. I now understand my colleagues always bragging about this place.

Nate was a very good server!! Fried asparagus was delicious! Awesome steak. Great to hear tables filled with Dartmouth students having open dialog about changing vaccine schedules and starting new TPUSA chapters!! Glad I went!!

We didn't have reservations. We were able to get a seat at the bar. One of the servers (dark haired you lady) was very nice and made sure we were taken care of, the other server (lighter hair) not so much .
When we left the host actually thanked us for being willing to sit at the bar. I thought that was very nice.

Unfortunately we weren’t impressed. It smelled like beer. The seats were REALLY uncomfortable. The lighting was very very poor. I was afraid my steak knife was going to give me splinters. They were out of the dishes most of us wanted. My steak was good, but not everyone liked theirs. Some things were really over seasoned. All the veggies were overcooked and bland. This place was not worth the price. It’s our first and last visit. Sorry.

Sat down at 6:30 PM then 15 minutes later I had to get up and ask for a waiter or waitress. Then we got a waiter that walked by us 4 times and never said anything like be with you in a minute. We ordered 2 salads and a burger which took over a hour to get. They just kept saying sorry for the wait over and over. First time and last time.

I am not a local, but am here for business. I have ordered twice now, to give it a fair try. First time is was scallops, they were small and weren’t a dry packed scallop, therefore had a bitter flavor.
The second time I ordered a sirloin. I asked for medium rare. The steak I received was closer to well done. It was seasoned well, but I offered it to go and was disappointed it was not cooked as ordered. For the prices they charge, they need to step things up a bit.

Jesse's is an awesome, upscale steakhouse tavern. The food is delicious, here, and I'll get into that soon. Seating is everything when there is so much ambience in such a classic establishment, so here are your choices to request if all sections are open: 1.) the main tavern dining room, to the left of reception. This is the hearth, if you will, where families gather. Kids are seated in this section. 2.) The bar dining room. You're not really in the bar for much of the seating area but it is more festive and casual. In the bar area, you are seated in a true tavern with good cheer, with a fireplace and log cabin charm. 3.) The outdoor patio: this is weather dependent, of course. It's lush, green and filled with umbrellas and garden flowers. 4.) The grand club dining room, farthest to the left, which has sportsmen decor. 5.) The patio off to the left of the club dining room is a gorgeous balcony and awesome (when open). 6.) The downstairs dining room, full of booths and nostalgic splendor that I've rarely seen full and 7.) The L-shaped bar dining. Many folks dine at the bar, here. Get apps, soups, salads and steak: any steak. And the mashed sweet potatoes which are as fun as Thanksgiving ... and the house vegetable. You'll be smitten. Also, this is one of those rare steakhouses where you can still manage to enjoy a baked potato. So, if you are not into sweet potatoes, enjoy a loaded baked potato. The cocktails and draft pour choices are excellent, here. And ... so are the desserts. Service, on the whole, is generally above par here.

This was our first time at Jesse's. We enjoyed our meals, very tasty and great service, thank you Ryan. The Key lime pie topped off the meal wonderfully. Thank you for the great experience.
