The service was horrible. We waited for 15 minutes for a server to come take our drink order and another 30 minutes for the drinks to get to our table. My dinner was cold when I received it and it took the 20 minutes to warm it up. This place doesn’t seem to care about satisfying customers. Food was average at best.

Lack of communication amongst staff and with us was poor. Ordered tenderloin from the menu but was served a ribeye instead. When questioned we were told they did not have tenderloin and chose without asking to substitute the order. It would have seemed appropriate to be informed so that another menu choice could have been made. Secondly, upon finishing a glass of wine, a sediment was noticed in the bottom of the glass. The person who delivered the food was notified, took the glass and never returned with an answer of what it was. We subsequently asked our server and she could not offer an explanation. There clearly was a lack of management presence and oversight. For this reason, we would not recommend this restaurant.

I regret to say that my recent visits over the last two nights were quite disappointing. I have dined here a few times before, particularly during my son's recruitment, and during those occasions, we were treated well. However, this time the experience was far from pleasant.

While I understand the need to be on a waiting list, it felt as though we were overlooked unless I personally approached the hostess for updates. I had mentioned that my father needed to eat soon due to his medication, but despite this, we waited over an hour to be seated and then well over another hour for our food. During this time, other tables were seated, served, and left, while we continued to wait. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and stale, and I lost my appetite entirely.

This happened to us two nights in a row, which makes it feel quite intentional. Though it was a busy Friday lastnight, by the time we were seated at 8:30, there were several empty tables available. I'm not sure if the delay was deliberate or simply an oversight, but it certainly felt like we were treated differently compared to other guests, who were seated promptly after being called by the hostess.

This unfortunate experience left us feeling disregarded, and as a result, we won't be returning. It’s a shame, as previous visits had been positive, but after this, we no longer feel welcome.

As many recent reviews note, the food is mediocre and not worth the fine dining price.

My wife's tenderloin medallions came out cooked perfectly medium-rare, but they were cold. She sent them back to be heated up, and they came back medium-well. The leek puree overpowered the dish and made the sides almost inedible.

My seafood risotto was worse. The parmesan cheese sauce was very basic, and the rissotto was not very creamy. The dish came with one cold scallop, 3 small, overcooked/broiled shrimp, and 2-3 small pieces of lobster. I asked our waiter if the seafood was cooked together considering the different temperatures, and he laughed it off and assured me it was. He also laughed about my wife's cold tenderloins and explained it was likely due to resting the meat before serving. The manager never spoke to us even after we sent my wife's entree back to be heated up.

The calamari with the smoked bluefish dip was very good, as was the bread service. The only two highlights of our meal.

The dining room and bar are beautifully designed, and the location in downtown Hanover is great. However, we will not be returning unless Pine's reviews get consistently better.

Always hope it’ll be better.. but it never is at Pine.

Overpriced, overcooked, over it…

Service was incredibly slow (20mins before some came). Couldn’t get any answers answered and felt my energy being sucked.

The food seems like it should be good, but they ruin all of it by over cooking it or putting the good aspects of the meal in some diluting substance. It’s so expensive, and can’t believe what they put out given the price.

The space is cool with nice finishes and solid decor.

End of the day it’s one of the only “fine dining” spaces in the Upper Valley, but I’d look elsewhere given the insane cost and lack on quality dishes.

I don’t know what’s going on here w/ service/staffing. Must be understaffed. Stayed at hotel and went here 3 x’s in April/May ‘24 and service was universally bad every time. Things like waiting 25 mins to even have someone approach my table. Spending over 2 hours for two appetizers and two drinks. Surly waitstaff. People at tables next to me were also incredulous. Would not recommend. Only bright spot was a very friendly competant/bartender.

The service is absolutely horrible if you are sitting at the bar.And you get the pleasure, not pleasure of having Kelsey. And a Bottle blonde Burnett, falling out hair. You will be sadly disappointed because they are completely rude and have no social skills.Whatsoevrer.

A fine restaurant located right in front of Dartmouth College. The quality of food was not at the level of a fine restaurant. Price was not reasonable; too much for the quality.Service was quite poor... Again not at the fine restaurant level.

More expensive than a night out in Brooklyn for standard New England fare. I might go back for the bar, which has a good selection. Service was good and it’s in a good location. The food is way over-priced and under delivers.
