Big Kahunas Smokehouse Restaurant

Incredible food and service! We are planning to come back and try one of everything. We had the pork belly, smasher, cornbread, and pineapple upside down cake and had zero complaints.

If I had to choose one final meal, forget the fancy steakhouses, forget the five-star restaurants, just drop me off at Big Kahuna’s, hand me a full rack of their ribs, and let me go out like a legend.

These ribs? So tender, a gentle breeze could dislocate the meat from the bone. So juicy, I had to tilt my head like a dog drinking out of a hose just to keep from drowning in that Caribbean BBQ sauce. And speaking of that sauce, sweet, smoky, and possibly infused with the tears of angels. If I had a time machine, I'd use it to go back and experience my first bite again.

For sides, I went with cornbread and smashers, not because I expected much, but because I needed something to soak up the pure joy leaking from my soul. The smashers? Absolute sleeper hit. Crispy, buttery, and honestly, they paired so perfectly with the ribs that I started getting jealous. Like, maybe they should get a room and leave me out of it.

And the vibes? Peak. Coming from the frozen North, stepping into Big Kahuna’s felt like I had been granted one last vacation before the great beyond. Palm trees? Check. Warm, smoky air? Check. Pieter, the owner, making sure my experience was flawless? Absolute king. That man cares about his food and his people, if he ever runs for office, he’s got my vote.

So yeah, if you find yourself in Hooksett and you DON’T stop at Big Kahuna’s, just know you’ve failed your ancestors. These ribs are legendary. If I could trade my last remaining good kidney for another rack, I absolutely would.

Was looking for a good spot to stop for lunch and this place caught my eye. Extremely glad I did. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman, who was easy to get along with and talk with. I ordered the Kahuna Burger and Cornbread, it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was perfect, loved everything I saw.
Definitely don’t pass this place up!

I came here with my family just the other day and had a fantastic experience. The owner was there to greet and serve us, and he was truly a pleasure to talk to and elevated the visit. I got the ribs and they were cooked perfectly, and all of the rest of the food was absolutely delicious. The menu offers a great selection for those who are gluten free as well. I love the vibe of the restaurant and would definitely return here whenever I can!

My new best BBQ spot in NH. Excellent ribs, no sauce even needed! 8 of us shared 2 servings of the Ohana Meal Deal and there were tons of leftovers. Sauce was great and smoked smashed potatoes…who knew! Highly recommend.

Honestly, this place was awesome! I’m a picky eater but their menu did not disappoint! Fried plantains was a hit with my group and my burger was phenomenal! That bbq sauce though…I will be dreaming about it! Soooo glad we found this place! And the man working (I’m assuming the owner but don’t come for me 😂) he made sure everyone had what they needed, everything was made exquisitely to order and we all left with happy bellies and decided we will definitely be back!! Atmosphere was fabulous also! Almost like going to your besties house! There were board games and books and plenty of awesome decor to look over!! Comfortable cute quaint and fabulous! I literally can not say enough good things about this place!

Had an excellent lunch with my mother. Randomly stopped in on a road trip, read no reviews. Had the smokehouse burger and it was beautiful. Huge portion and cooked perfectly. Bun was also toasted just how I like it and the pork wasn’t dry and blended with the burger.

The chef/waiter/maybe owner was courteous and attentive despite cooking everything as well! Everything was great, look at the picture and see for yourself!

I ordered the brisket with coleslaw and black beans for dine-in. The food arrived in a timely manner but the brisket was half fat, the black beans had no flavor at all; I’ve had better directly out of a can. Both were cold. The coleslaw was mediocre but at least it had some flavor. I asked the person who brought my food to clean the table and they sprayed cleaner onto it right next to my plates of food. Between that and the quality of the food, I walked out after only a couple of bites. Very disappointing. Complete waste of money.

Had a perfect experience at this location! The food was excellent and prepared well. The potatoes were out of this world. The customer service was also excellent. I believe the cook came out and delivered our food. He also checked back up on us and was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality food along with quality customer service!
